CG: Women love horror AN: What my wife loved about "A Quiet Place" is that it's totally focused on family and not on horror.
@ichigen511
@ichigen511 2 ай бұрын
When anybody say "women like this..." and "women like that..." i can tell either they've only been with 1 women their entire life or ZERO. I've been with two handfuls and some were ok with horror, some loved horror, and some would be disgusted that I even mentioned the idea of watching a "horror" movie. It's clear Chris has little to no experience with women. I imagine Alan's wife is sick of listening to him complain about every movie they watch together and is just about at her wits end. Men that either hate women, don't understand women, ot god I don't know what else are literally the most pathetic kind of poeple on the planet. And here are two of them, monetizing hatred on a KZbin channel about geek things. Oh, your families must be so proud of you two.

Women do like horror though. Best date night movie genre.
@jeffreyspinner5437
@jeffreyspinner5437 Ай бұрын
@@DaveyMH That's WAY different, and let me explain to you why it's a great night _for you:_ a woman conflates her movie induced body's overstimulation/fear being batshite scared to death with _arousal for you._ Voila. Another way of getting that same affect is what I didn't realize would happen when I was young. I had pretty big muscles, I had muscle thickness, so I'd go to the gym look at someone, and go: skinny, skinny, skinny... so even though I didn't think I was big in the mirror I was always bigger than guys in Bally's for example. I did not juice, I was just angry af, and wanted to leave my violence in the gym instead of ripping off someone's head. Then I learned how to meditate and that does work, btw. Well, I'd be holding my date's hand and she'd be shaking like a leaf. I was pretty pissed off for a while because if anything she should feel safer than without me by her side until I realized the affect I described above. So, if that happened after I realized the issue, I'd whisper in her ear, "There's nothing to be afraid of..." She would wet herself (in the ready for action way, like, "well, I'll just throw out this underwear, there's no way of cleaning these; after action reports by the women themselves) and shake even more vigorously. All I had to do later in the night was grab her, and she'd finish. Luckily for women, most of them have no limit... and then I'd take my time while they'd look at me thinking, "is he for real!? this can't be happening..." and then thank you very much, come again.

If you like the previous quiet place films, you like this one. That doesn’t mean it does anything genre breaking or even new for the franchise, but it does not weaken the franchise either. It’s nice to at least have one franchise that is reliably entertaining and doesnt immensely deteriorate with a sequel like most films out there.

Agreed! I believe this is why everyone is going nuts over "House of the Dragon". A fantasy show that's a 6 or 6.5 but is treated like a 9 because so many things recently have sucked so bad. Eddie Murphy did a funny skit (a long time ago) about Ritz/Saltine crackers describing this phenomenon. The crackers aren't really about actual food but the analogy works the same here too.

@cainemarko5021

Well its not fear. They just can't swim. I get your point. But just to be clear. And yes the next question is "If they can't swim, why come to a 70% water planet?" But the way the movie made it look (since they did not elaborate) was that these aliens were just floating in space like a virus. They happened to cross our path and fall into our atmosphere. There was no space ship(s) they were just literally falling to Earth like meteors. So I don't think they "picked" us. If that helps. :)

Chris is always right. Women love horror! My sister, as much as I love her is a very negative person in general. She's a pain in the ass. She has one saving grace, she got me reading the Lord of the Rings (way before the movies), but anyway, she loves horror, her favourite author is Stephen King, who I think is a great writer, but I'm not that into it. Every woman I ever known love 2 things - Horror, and True Crime, or just crime in general. Women LOVED Silence of the Lambs.

Ng The Merciless! I went to see this with a good friend yesterday, and it was incredibly intense. After a series of minutes I looked at him and said why do my hands hurt? The answer is because it's not just a film it's a sensory deprivation experience. I love that it was simple. I love the stark reality of something that wasn't reality and that I was just along for the ride without being beat over the head without any kind of messaging of any kind except - survive. I totally recommend this film. By the way I've not seen the second feature film in the quiet place series but I will.

Well this movie shows the army is very active and very on top of things. So its not like the world is completely ended. The reason the Aliens were successful at all is because of how numerous they are and how quickly they "ambushed" us (though that might not be the right word, as they didn't intentionally come to Earth as far as we know). So its possible a future movie will show the army is able to resist them with Sonic weaponry, but the sheer number of them is why certain locations don't have any help (like wherever the first movie takes place).

This "myth" of the "service" cat in this movie is just invented by ppl that try to justify the absolutely unnatural way the cat behaves in so many scenes. 1) I know nothing about the argument of service animals, but according to the internet (rapid search with "service cats") cats CANT be officially registered as "service" animals...it's not their nature and they are not recognized as such (so for example they are not allowed to enter in places where official service animals, like dogs for example, can go to accompany their human owner)... 2) sure a cat (as any other docile pet) can be an "emotional support" for a person in distress but to do that "job" is certainly not necessary that he behaves in such a "calm" way, and never making a "meow" or a "hiss" at all, in ANY fkg circumnstance, even the most absurd and dangerous situations...or stay in the water (and UNDER it for a few seconds) like it's nothing (the training that is required to achieve that, if even possible, goes far beyond the scope of any "emotional support" pet). So basically this movie has a EVIDENT ISSUE and ppl that liked the movie, like you, are trying to cope with that and making excuses... Anyway, I dont particularly care about the cat, is a minor nuisance (and was clearly inserted in the movie because "simpathy", as a cheap tool)... As I said I watched the movie but since it was so booooring I probably missed some parts because I SLEPT through them...so yeah we can agree that I didnt watch it (entirely...technically) :DDDDD But certainly enough to make a mini review of it, like I did...this movie doesnt deserve much more than that...a very forgettable and ultimately useless product that nobody will remember 5 years from now... :DDDD (and also WOKE AF! Like 95% of mediocre entertainment products these days...)

Wrong about cats,my cat goes walking with me a lot,theres also a cat in my street that tries to follow into town i have to get his owner to take him inside while i leave my street some days,animals do care,they show it in different ways but you can tell an animal is in pain or hurt when you look in its eyes and if it can be hurt or feel sad then it can also feel happiness and connection to its owner,ive seen dogs lay at graves of their owners,monkeys mourning a loss,cats that leave a dead rodent or bird on their owners floor as a reward for their owner,i guess some people dont want to think animals have somewhat of emotions or their parents preferred dogs over cats,i like to think every animal on this planet can connect in some way to a human and that requires some level of emotion.

I disagree with your rewiew. This movie is very emotional. We have a muribund woman. All that she wants, brom the beginning, is to eat a slice of pizza. Because that pizza reprezents what was good in her life. In the end she eats that pizza, but it is kind of shitty. Her partner understands and brings her back to the memory of her father, when times were perfect, and she was healthy and care-free. This is a movie about loss, and about the meaning of life and about survival and in the end about sacrifice. This is really a deep movie. As I said, very emotional.

I loved the first two movies but I gave this one a meh score(2 out of 6) The cinematography and sound design were great . Lead actress was great as she emotes well. The cat as the pet was a brilliant choice as a dog would have gotten everyone killed instantly. But the movie is very boring . The tension doesn't land . The friendship is ok but cringy and on the nose where it goes . The films pay off like the tension misses the boat ...

Spoilers ahead. I think the first two are amazing, so I was really looking forward to this. However, this one was a massive disappointment. I think the driving force behind part 3 would be to get answers to the aliens' arrival. I mean, we've seen burning stuff in the sky, but what is it. Like my friend said before, seeing how the creatures are, it doesn't feel believable that that pilot space ships, so how did they arrive on Earth? Well, as I see it, we still don't know. There was a scene with something that I think were eggs, but then the creatures ate them... I think. So I don't know what the hell that was. And I think we see a big creature, a king, or queen , or a mother for a few seconds... but that was it...? Weird. The characters are stupid and forgetful. The man decides to risk his life by going out in the city alone to get some medicine for the woman who's already dying and have decided to die already so why make that extremely stupid decision?! The only one I cheered for throughout the entire story was Frodo, the cat. He's magical by the way. Also, not a single scene with the creatures is rememberable. And putting Djimon's character in the story (who was in Part 2) was stupid and borders on false marketing. Honestly, I just wanted the movie to end. It's sad because I was really looking forward to this movie. And it's been a long time since I had this bad of a experience at the movies. Well, you can't like everything. It is what it is.

I don't like cats, and to hear that, makes me not want to go see this movie. Since from the trailers, it looked really good. It was kind of neat to see this film of which I haven't seen the first one, take it in such a DRASTIC and Different but familiar direction. I thought the move to a former MAJOR city was cool and the use of environment to create sounds to misdirect the aliens, was neat as well. THOUGH, now the whole CAT creating constant plotholes, is annoying. You don't need the tightest of scripts for these Popcorn Flicks, but you also can't create giant gaping plotholes you can drive a semi through.
