Like…I saw a lot of ppl hating on him for not letting her having pizza but they have to understand why he didn’t. It’s not just a casual news he read online stating that ppl should leave the cities, it’s a protocol coming from not just the police force but also the military as well. That was actually the worst death imo. The generator was outside. The alien would have attacked it, the sound would have stopped and as long as no one else made a sound inside it would have moved on like it did when it took him. There was no reason to actually go out and put it off.

Frodo is a good service cat. He is always looking for his owner. Even when Eric goes to find a meds, Frodo still follows him because he knows Eric is panicking.

Sam shoving Eric under the water would have made the situation so much worse and made him uncontrollably panic. He almost drowned in our first introduction to him, so the amount of water scares him (also why the ending is such a nice full circle for him; he began the movie almost dying to water, and ends the movie with water saving his life.) God Lupita was incredible in this movie as usual, and I didn't initially get why they swapped out Alex Wolff (from Hereditary) for Joseph's character as I liked their dynamic but Lupita's chemistry with Joseph won me over. She's fantastic no matter who she's with, some actors can just do that bring out the best performances in their costars too

The cinematography in this movie is incredible. I love when they have long shots of the actors with the aliens in the background. It felt like the director was pushing the actors to give it their all. I think Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn deserve Oscar nominations. Their tears and genuine fear at something that isn’t actually there is incredible

For the "learning to be quiet" question. If you notice it she sees every person who makes noise get taken. I also think many people trying to hide from something in herently try to stay silent. So I feel it would be natural to pick up the "be quiet" aspect very quickly.

I think she thought it was like War of the Worlds maybe, where we think they came from space but the pods were buried underground and the aliens just shot down through lightning into the pods. We don't actually see them fall from space in any of the Quiet Place films, we just see a bunch of meteors crashing and they come pouring in just after, so that's probably why she was confused. I don't think she saw the first two films.

Apparently they cut out a storyline where Eric was gay and realizing he had no sense of home because of his family’s rejection, he was going to end his life in the subway station before it flooded. Somehow, this messed-up experience saved him. 😭💔

this movie broke my heart in so many aspects and at the end when you realize her coat belonged to her father and she gave it to Eric I cried so hard! this movie is PERFECT. ALSO, about the cat, I would like to say: cats are incredibly quiet if they want to, have great survival skills and give ZERO fks most of the time to most of the things so I could totally see a cat in this scenario not worrying AT ALL that a huge alien is eating everybody HAHAHAHA

I think Joseph Quinn will be an amazing human torch. Frodo is the absolute best actor. I dont care how unrealistic it is, that baby needs to have all the plot armor ever. I would beleive it if they made the cat fight the aliens and beat them. There are alot of cats that like water too. Im just very very glad the cat survived the whole movie. Such a good movie. All three movies were really good.

I think this series is tremendously good at just making characters seem actually human. Tender moments in a crisis trying to help others when possible, reasonable reactions to terror, and trying to find some kinda normal life even during the end of it all. Its beautiful and heart breaking because even with an otherwordly threat they just want pizza and company.

The photo at the end shows that it was originally her dad's sweater that she gave to Eric. The large cemetery near the beginning is First Calvary Cemetery in Queens, and we're probably meant to think the bus is traveling on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on the way to Manhattan. While Queens in general has a lot of cemeteries, that part of Queens is especially full of cemeteries.

A silly thing about the first Quiet Place film was how we saw newspapers and articles about the alien attack, but here we see it was instantaneous, and there was no way they were going to write articles and print newspapers after the attack.

I mean, we know the aliens came from the meteor fragments, and that a chunk of those fragments landed in New York, which is probably why it got overwhelmed so quickly. I image that for the world outside the site zeroes, the aliens would have taken longer to spread out from their crash points.

I thought of this as well. Especially how in the second movie we see how the aliens had attacked the town within minutes of arrival. I do feel it may be plausible that places would have written articles, newspapers etc and distributed to them in places early on during the invasion, but as for how such newspapers would have been delivered to the small town in the first movie even after the aliens killed so many on day 1 there...I got no idea

My anxiety went 1000% for Frodo, good god. Thankfully he's alive by the end of the movie. The fact that Eric risked his life to save Frodo in that alien nest and the chase to the boat is the most chivalrous thing I've ever seen.

They DEFINITELY took liberties and plot armour with the cat and how quiet it was, but I’m not complaining. If the cat died I would have walked right that moment. 😅 On another note, watching this is 4DX with the seats moving and all was pretty intense, I think I pulled a back muscle at one point! 😂

They make it seem like the destruction of the bridges were meant as a way to keep the aliens from escaping into the world, when infact this was done as a way of keeping the aliens from jumping onto the escaping boats from above.

Cant believe im crying soo hard over a fkn movie & im kinda upset about it. Joseph is soo charming in his role in wanting to help Lupita. Frodo is such a cuute name for a kiddy & i love how he connected the 2 souls together & have a froever home(yes froever). I love how Lupita wanted her pizza to reconnect herself to her early memories if her father/family to help ground her right before she leaves Earth. She waa blessed to have a good nurse friend. She was blessed to have a untuitive kiddy. She was blessed to have Eric

The idiocy of the main character erases all trace if suspense in this movie. The world is ending, thousands are dying and she wants to go get a pizza? She was an awful protagonist whose stupidity erases any hint of suspense as she deserves to fall victim to the monsters

There are thousands more stories ongoing at the same time as the pizza pilgrimage that would be exponentially more interesting with potential protagonists who want to survive. Why should we get invested in a character that has already given up and has no survival instinct? She is an awful protagonist.

Two things: One, you know everyone on that boat was shocked that he was holding a cat, like they must've been questioning how the cat didn't get him killed. Two, I wouldn't last a night in this movie... I talk in my sleep😂

In the trailer, the puppeteer guy that looks like Mitch McConnell, is the one that turns off the generator and gets killed. Was this another generator in the building and the scene was deleted? Or was it done so that we would be shocked when the nurse/chaperone was killed?

I never thought I’d cry as much as I did during a movie like this but I was in TEARS the whole way through. Maybe I was just having an emotional day.

Aside from the phenomenal acting, directing, cinematography, writing, cat-training, and just about everything else, one thing I really love that this movie does is it shows a protagonist having not one but two genuine panic attacks, and they aren't shamed for it. Eric was not shunned or shamed, wasn't abandoned, wasn't left behind, wasn't told to shut up and get over it, none of that. Instead, Sam tries to calm him down. She talks him down, refocuses him, grounds him, and then keeps going WITH HIM. You never see that in these types of films, and it's so realistic. People would 100% be panicking like that, and in everything I personally have seen with characters going through panic attacks like Eric has, they're called weak and they're shamed for being human, and as someone with anxiety it's just nice to see someone care enough to not only try to help him, but then willingly stay and fight with him after. This movie does so many things right. Also not sure if anyone mentioned this, but there were two kitties cast as Frodo; Nico and Schnitzel. Lupita and Joseph both admitted to having a favorite, the same favorite in fact, but have refused to reveal which one it was lol. They said on set that Schnitzel of them was better for close up slow shots and Nico was perfect for the more intense action (and longer) sequences, so they balanced out perfectly! Also, they found one of them first (I can't remember which) and obviously no two cats' markings are identical enough to play the same one cat, so they did color the other one hahaha. They trained for three months and got to hang out with the director everyday to warm up to them. Very well behaved kitties, who really mad ethe movie what it is alongside Joseph and Lupita. Awesome movie!!

I’m not sure if someone said it already but when they were in the subway and the creature is in the water, I think it got electrocuted by the third rail. It touched it and then you could see the blue electrical surge around it. Such a GREAT film. 😭💔

I told me friend at the beginning of the movie. If the cat dies, I’m walking out. I’m so glad it didn’t happen. I loved this movie ❤❤❤❤ I love how the cat was like, “imma stay quiet. Idk about yall. But if yall talk, im snitching” 😂😂😂
