The number of you who think those people inside are animatronics is wild… 😂

I’m glad that they honed in on the bloody scenes, unlike the Stranger Things haunted houses which felt like they were riding off of the common misconception that the show is family-friendly horror.
@thewontonmuncher63712 ай бұрын
Wow, the amount of people trashing on this is absurd. Literal Tik-Tok brains who can't go five seconds without something happening and expect ten jumpscares in the span of that time. I get that the house is a bit slower than the others, but I think the slowness works to its advantage because it helps build up the monsters and allows you to immerse yourself in the world. Yes, I know you can sometimes see the monsters, but you have to know that the guy has a low-light camera so a lot of things are exposed. Besides, I think it kind of works because you get that suspenseful feeling of whether or not the monster will "attack" you, kind of like in the movie. Some may not agree with me, but I give this an 8.5/10. Great set design, great creatures, great usage of ASL---John Murdy knocked it out of the park with this one. The only issues are that they could've done a better job hiding the mechanics and that it ends abruptly.

The animatronics/puppets were good. It's ironic how noisy the maze was.

I was legitimately about to point out the severe irony of using a movie franchise in which silence is survival in an event with mazes that are *nightmarishly loud*

This looked great! I wonder if they could have made quiet areas coupled with a floor that would make sounds every time you stepped on it XD

Not only were they likely being well paid, but they volunteered for this, that's how it works with most haunted house attractions. You have to want to be there.

Orlando I feel like has the better looking monsters/aliens they used a good mix of the monster having the head closed and open also they hide the monsters/aliens better before they jump out at you, I feel like they have better jumpscares like if you were watching the movie all over again, the way they design makes me feel like I need to be quiet. They had better detail too throughout the house.
@wherethetatosat3 ай бұрын
I could see this being a good maze 10 years ago. You can tell they didn't really put a lot of effort in to this one. Which is weird, because it looks like they decided to house it where The Walking Dead attraction used to be, which meant they wanted to keep this one for awhile. Not everything has to be gore, but you can tell where the creatures are a mile away; and as someone who is very easy to jumpscare this would be a stroll in the park. No new creative effects or big fluid animatronic or interesting set pieces. Sorry Universal, this is a D- from me.
@thetree93993 ай бұрын
I disagree, I think its one of their better ones. I do agree the jumpscare design isnt as effective or creative and there's a lot of weird light leaks on black backdrops, but the set seems a lot more immersive than the majority of their other stuff.
@MiDLiFECRYSiS3 ай бұрын
I just went to Orlando over the weekend, their design was so much better in my opinion. Very dark, the Death Angels looked way creepier, hard to see where they would come from and I felt so immersed. Was curious how Hollywood's looked and I'm pretty saddened by it as other houses seem to be so much better than Orlando

I don’t find it over-saturated since it’s only one film every three years, and one of them was a spin-off to break up the monotony. I’ll admit that the premise borrows too much from The Last of Us, though.

Actually, holograms would be much more expensive because they can break down or overheat, just like anything electrical. Repairs on a special effect are much more of a hassle than paying some actors.
