Its crazy how Hollywoods version of A Quiet Place has some really impressive (For a very temporary attraction) animatronics, while the one in Orlando has much more simple and less impressive animated figures.
@rockyxbautista3 ай бұрын
that tends to be the main difference between the two- Orlando is much better in terms of scale for mazes/scarezones, but i think the quality of creature FX (animatronics, costumes, makeup) here in Hollywood just absolutely blow Orlando out of the water. Each event is great don’t get me wrong, it just depends on what you like- I’m definitely a monster lover so Hollywood has been my favorite for years !

It's always fun to compare the Hollywood and Orlando houses when they do the same IP in the same year. One is always superior to the other. I had no idea what was happening in Orlando's Eternal Bloodlines, but I actually see the storyline in Hollywood's.
@yoplait32563 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but Orlando has less impressive animatronics but it doesn't solely use animatronics and actually tries to do more things with actors, watching this I feel I would barely be scared in the slightest at Hollywood but when I went to Quiet place the other day it was quite tense vs the bland jumpscare animatronics of Hollywood repeated every few moments. The few we had seemed more special because they held off on over using them and used puppet arms and masks for a few scares. Lots of houses in Hollywood seem like they don't try to be as creative or as scary as their Orlando counterparts and it's very disappointing.
@broformers64333 ай бұрын

My all-time favorite haunted walkthrough had no actors in and was very quiet. There were NO LIGHTS. We were given flashlights with red gels as our only light source. I jumped when a prop phone rang and a vacuum cleaner chased me. I reached for a sink, and a hand came out of the basin and grabbed my wrist. Very effective!

I’ve never actually been before planning on going next month (hopefully) but I’ve seen a lot of videos from previous years. Have the employees in the orange shirts always been there in the mazes? Kinda funny seeing the monsters in the room then just a random guy in a bright color just standing there

The licensed houses feel so corporate it hurts. Was hoping universal would learn their lesson after how tired the walking dead house got. Walking through random scenes with people hanging out isn’t scary, interesting, or fun
@exchangAscribe3 ай бұрын
i agree that they are too corporate. but the second part doesnt make sense. you have to have low moments to have high moments. you might just be low patience. downtime is necessary, just like in horror or thriller movies. otherwise everything becomes a blur and nauseating and no longer scary or thrilling. downtime also allows things to be shown or explained, to create context. a constant stream of high octane scary moments will only desensitize people.
@Werewolfslayer143 ай бұрын
@@exchangAscribe Downtime should give the audience time to breathe and immerse oneself. Filling that that low time with random scenes just takes away any buildup imo
@exchangAscribe3 ай бұрын
@@Werewolfslayer14 i agree but if the random scenes are relevant then thats beneficial and counts as downtime. downtime and breathing room is very important, especially when it comes to horror. buildup is important as well, as long as its not constant, which can cause tension the whole time which isnt a good experience. so i think we agree on that.
