Surely the fairy on the bottle is one of the characters listed on the back? I wander if they came with all the characters on? You can see how that would help promote kids to drink milk - trying to get to see the whole set!

Hi guys!! I'm SURE someone has already told you but I just watched Simon use water based paint, like children's paint and it was white and he brushed it across the logo (it was actually an engraving) so we could see it and then he would wash it right off with no damage. Just wanted to throw that out there. I collect fairies 🧚♀️...they are my kinda people!!

O a wonderful milk bottlle and with so much info on it and of course a lovely fairy. That was a really interesting place you went to and some good finds. I just want to thank you so much for the little parcel you sent which I saved to open this morning and I am delighted with my bottle and the bits and I love the little holly box which will take pride of place where I can see it and the cards which are all on my desk. It so made my Christmas having that generous gift from the pair of you. Thank you so very much. Now stay safe and Christmas wishes to youu all. ☃🎄☃🎄☃🎄❤

Greetings Kate and Fleur, Sloane Rangers were widely seen back in the 80s ,with the very new mobile phones of the day, and filofaxes bought from expensive west end shops.

Fleur, you and Kate had me giggling at the end with your so called "ramblings". Fleur, I believe you are thinking about the game Cribbage. It's a card game, as is Bridge, but you keep score with pegs. So perhaps that's what you were thinking of???? Wonderful Mudmas. Hugs to Sonny Cat and hello to Oliver! Thanks for taking me along on your outing! ❤ xx

Oh the Sloane Ranger days! 😂 Remember them well. A neat shirt with a pork pie collar, pastel coloured fine knit sweater tied around the shoulders. Straight legged cotton drill jeans in United Colours of Beneton shades. The eponymous loafer shoes!! When the phrase was coined for the fancy Land Rover Discovery, known as the 'Chelsea Tractor' 😅😅😅😅

There are still bridge clubs to this day. My mother played regular on an online bridge club that included many internationals who loved to play bridge and included some from the UK. She lived in Utah, usa.

My husband had one of his first barman jobs at Yates’ Wine Lodge in Harrow in the early 2000s and I had many a happy night spent in there in the late 90s/ early 00s. Think they went out of business by around 2010/11 though Such a shame as I had no idea how old they were!

There is a Sloane Club in London that opened in 1922 (by Queen Victoria's daughter Helena) but it was called the Service Women's Club then. Apparently it became the Sloane in the 70's when men were also allowed in! Maybe nothing to do with the pottery you found, but interesting to learn all the same.

Princess Diana was THE Sloane Ranger! Originally that was her go-to style. Sporty, feminine looking. Later on she became the classy, sophisticated, chic figure we all remember. Rest in Peace, Princess Diana.

In the U.S., the early 1980s “preppies” would be the closest thing to a Sloan Ranger. Late 1970s/early 1980s Diana, Princess of Wales dressed very preppy - lots of Laura Ashley, sweaters, flats, high-necked ruffled blouses.

Another great one! The sloane info was interesting. In the US, in the south, I remember the 80’s “preppies” but I haven’t heard that used elsewhere where yuppies are referenced. They were called that because they attended prepatory academies and had more money than most. Merry Christmas to you both!
