Hi Gavin thank you so much for the very kind words about my work on the video and many others. You’re right I don’t make the weapons that’s all down to the superb Ian Armstrong. All the best and keep up the great work.

Spot on with those colours, Gav. I too love the colour variations in late war WWII German combat uniforms and equipment. 😊 Nice set of metal miniature figures.

Wonderful detailed painted figures. very nice the camouflage pattern at the smocks, especially in this size. Great figures which looks impressive after your paintwork, Gav. Best wishes, Joachim

Thanks Joachim i had to use some artistic licence with the cammo because of the scale but i achieved the look i wanted . Regards Gav.

Indeed a difficult thing on this scale. I also had a similar problem with my figures for the GB. Wish you further a good time. Greetings, Joachim

From a guy that works mainly in german WWII infantry units i say that those look wonderfull and i don't care at all if the green you used is the exact green those guys were. Excellent job done marra, thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work there!

Really nice work on the Late-War German 'Stumpmuster' Marsh Pattern camo... (It had a kind of 'washed-out' look that was very different to earlier Gerry 'precise' camo-patterns like 'Pea-Dot' or 'Oak Leaf'...) You've captured it perfectly in this scale. A thing I do when painting 'Modern' (WW1 onwards, really) type 28mm minis is to give them a varnish with the Army Painter varnishes (Soft Tone/ Medium/ Dark Tone depending on your choice) which (I find) tends to 'knit' the various patterns together and gives you a little more 'deliniation' with shading between various different parts of the mini... (Kind of like 'Black Lining' but a lot less 'fiddly'!) Obviously then you need an overspray of a flat matte varnish to take the gloss finish right back down... (The 'gloss' type Army Painter varnish/stain also gives a little more protection for gaming minis that are going to be handled a lot...) I think the Army Painter varnishes/stains (I use 'Dark Tone' but you can dilute it with White Spirit to get the effect you desire, more like a 'Wash', really) cost about 20 quid for a large tin, but it goes a Long Way since you don't just 'Splash It All Over' (HENRY COOPER!!!) when you don't want to oblitererate fine camo-patters etc. as here.) One tin will last years! xx SF

I didn't know the metal ones were getting expensive. I figure the most inexpensive way is to 3D print them???? Can't wait for you to see what I'm working on now. I'll be watching Gavin
@gavinbooth8 ай бұрын
Well over here they are expensive marra if collecting for yourself thats for the individual to decide but when i sell i cant afford to have them sitting around . Regards Gav.

Gav re gaming, if they're on 30mm bases you'd only get 5 per 150mm width, but you'd get 8 per 160mm on 20mm bases so that's probably why gamers like 20mm bases; you can pack more in - almost - the same space.
