That is really cool!!! Someone told me that they did make an Allante with a foldaway hardtop like this. Now I see where they got the idea for the XLR. But I still love the Allante a lot more. This car needs to be put in a Cadillac museum!!! Nice!!

Too bad the guy that build it didn't gave the idea for the "engineers" at Cadillac back in the day,it could have saved this model, the original Allante didn't even had a power top....

would have been nice to see it work. Kindig could probably do one, but I couldn't afford it just for the top

Interior should have been more refined from day 1. Combine an interior that didn't have the prestige of foam packing blocks, with that top and the car could've sold...

Not sure why you say that. Have you ever driven one / sat in one? I find the interior to be quite nice, certaiknly much better than it's Mercedes SL peer of the late 80s. Even good by modern standards.

The work that went into that top costs 17x more than the Allante is worth.

Doesn't look functional to me. and can't find any video in operation. Don't you think who did that would'nt be proud of showing it off. Just saying.

Yeah, someone went through all the trouble of building this to go halfway into the trunk.... and not actually function.
