I make only the 3rd recorded ascent of Mount Mercer in the last 30 years despite the fact that it sits above a major trail. Trip report at www.explor8ion....

Steep scree like that makes me paranoid. It’s incredible how few people have summited this! If I lived in that area that would definitely be on my list.

Fantastic video with exceptional quality as always! I am new your channel and, after recently discovering this wealth of content on your youtube and website, have been busy recommending it to as many people as will listen. The concept of peak bagging is quite new to me. On a few occasions, you have mentioned that a peak is or is not an "official" peak or mountain. Thus implying that there is certain criteria that makes a peak a peak, or perhaps an official list of peaks constructed by some governing body or organization? Is this the case, and if so, how can I find this list?

@@nathanreinhardt2692 thx. I use the term “official” loosely but usually based off government maps.

What other scrambles in the area would you compare this one to, from a technical standpoint?
@VernDewit4 ай бұрын
@@orionmiller2337 maybe Allenby? (The true summit). Most others in the area are easier.
