For those unaware the Midnight Blue is SUPPOSED to be the same color as the Grape Purple Funtastic series N64, Japan got it for their N64, GBC and GBA but we only ever got the N64 in that colour. The one first one he pulls out in the video seems quite yellowed.

This is standard in Japan, not just stores. Most people in Japan sell their used belongings in online marketplace platforms such as Yahoo Auction and Merucari. They have a rating system where you can rate your seller upon recieving your item, we take it very seriously over here. Any seller below 95% you will definitely check their reviews to see what kind of issues the seller has had in the past

I would see if I could chop as many of those consoles together to make working ones. Sell the fully formed ones, sell a few much asked for parts, and then chuck the rest. Maybe keep four just to play Four Sword Adventures

Its only worth to mod them and with that take parts that matter the rest goes iinto trash. But I think we came to the era where new age hipsters simply buy it for decor and not to actually use it. For example many kids / people lost their mind back in 2020 and I see plenty of streamers trying to be try hard edgy and have bunch of Nintendo stuff on a shelf as a backdrop. Nothing works it's just for show ... The typical I love Mario and Zelda games like nothing else in the world ever exists, then their followers copy-paste this trend, it's like a plague, really tired of those people tbh. Ever since I know for myself next to no one cared for overpriced outdated Nintendo literal trash then 2020 comes around all of a sudden Nintendo fans are popping out of nowhere ... I mean sure few tiny parts in the west have people who collect Nintendo stuff but nowadays it's a hipster thing. Whatever, at least I will try to make money on them ONE DAY ... the thing is where I live there are ZERO Nintendo items to be found since FOREVER and I am not ins-ne to pay for shipping + import tax and whatever else there is, plus worry if I get scammed or not ... so F all that noise ... We sure live in crazy times.

It all comes from Japan in massive lots. So he would have either paid around 600-900$ for these plus shipping on weight around 150$ and import charges. 20% on everything. Or he knows someone in Japan and bought these from somewhere like hardoff and had them sent and a much cheaper price. For those who don’t know these things were MASS produced in Japan. Everything nintendo was.

I would say Ebay is a good place to start. I’m sure there are others like that. I’ve come across Japanese sites that sell exclusives (from today) abroad. It can be a bit pricey though.

If you think his prices are "ripping people off" then you don't have to buy from him. 3. i had one before, my uncle broke it because he found my cousing using it and broke it without knowing it was mine. but those consoles force your neck to create exesive effort because the way you were suposed to hold them in contrast to the screen position. so i guess it wasnt so bad to lose it :o

Just because they are rare doesn’t mean that they are valuable, in fact very common. Things can be very expensive and the way that works is common. Things are expensive because the method of how they are produced like diamonds or because of what it is if it’s a highly regulated material like ivory, it can be expensive regardless or because it’s a famous thing.
