It’s out of the way, but it’s a must visit when you go to NYC. It’s amazing.

Breathtaking. I find it far more interesting to see these pieces mid way through development. Not only does it give insight to the methodology for producing something so beautiful, but it feels like we're more connected to the artist through those initial ink lines. There's something so raw and emotive about it. The ark as a box was particularly charming. Thanks SH!

I like the dynamic, discordant angularity of the "toppling towers" accentuated by a turret spire and swallowtailed flags, together with contrasting swathes of overlaid undulating waves - plus the three dimensionality and symbolic union of box and boat. The floating figures bring to mind Ophelia or Shelly Winters, submerged, in 1955 film 'Night of the Hunter'.

Dr. Zucker... Jr? This sounds like someone else, lol. There were so many cool creative processes mentioned that I'd love to see in action. I also appreciated the "fire and spirit" detail about angels - it's interesting to think about.

@@smarthistory-art-history lol! 🙊What a relief, that makes sense. Somehow, this comment migrated from the previous video on the playlist to this one, so I'll just leave my comment for this one on the previous one to cancel the error out while exacerbating it. 😋
