If you go to the dragon princess character sight if you read Soren’s description it says that when he was a kid he got badly sick that was fatal (representing him turning to stone ) but his dad saved him by dark magic ( representing him bringing him back ) anyways so happy about the little Rayllum moments! I have to admit that this season definitely dethrones S3 for me. This is such a good season. I can really see what they've been saying about darker seasons. I really love how Rayllum was handled this season, they're friends again. And they are healing (old wounds haha) They still care about and miss each other an inordinate amount. And yet they're still respectful of their past, and keep it in mind. I love Rayllum so much, but specifically in this season. I can't wait to see them grow♥️♥️ To be honest, I kinda regret binge watching because now there's no more left😭 guess I just have to rely on you for my TDP content. Thanks James 👍

Something to note is that in the previous season Claudia says that it was “their father’s kind of magic” that saved Soren’s life. Initially I thought she meant saving Soren after the dragon incident, but the Thanos snap scene makes me think something happened in his early childhood that caused Viren to sacrifice something awful to save his son. Minor spoilers for the rest of the season with this next theory! The phrase “I would do anything” is used a lot in this season. We hear Viren say it when he’s talking about his family, “I would do anything to protect my family.” Then Claudia, “I will do anything to save my dad” and even Callum falls into this with “Rayla, I would do anything for you” even giving away a dark magic spell that can kill an arch dragon. Do all mages have a person or group of people they would do anything for? And how far does anything go?

When Harrow said "Your soul is my treasure" that is The spell that traps people in The coins.

idk if anyone has already put this fact but if anyone is confused about the "your soul is my treasure" part in Viren's nightmare, that is actually the spell that was used to trap Runaan (and Rayla's parent's) in the coin. The dark magic spells are all backwards talk so if you want confirmation, there are videos reversing those scenes to translate the spells. Anyways, enjoy that little fun (or maybe not so fun fact) and wow this is a pretty long comment for my taste XD

JUST WANNA SAY- I WAS RIGHT ABOUT STARGAZING AND THE CORRUPTED BANTHER BEING IN THE SAME EPISODE- Anyways- Love this episode! I’m a little upset that we didn’t see the night at the inn, but I’ll leave it to the fan fictions to fill that in. Or maybe we’ll get a short story? I absolutely adore Rayllum this season, it’s outstanding. It doesn’t feel forced, but it’s not as stiff as it was in season 4. I absolutely said this same thing when Baby Soren changed and faded. “Soren was Thanos snapped!”

The reason that their relationship was so good in season five was that it was not too fast if they kissed I feel like it would’ve been a bit too jarring, especially what with what just happened in season four the episode is 10 out of 10

I'm calling donuts doughie-o's from now on 😆 Also I love Rayla getting excited about the inn - SHE WAS SO HAPPY ALSO VIREN'S DREAM SEQUENCES ARE AMAZING I LOVE IT. Viren DOES need *THERAPY* - this man needs HELP I literally watched that Rayllum scene so many times when the clip was released but I still love watching it - it still make me feel things 🥺 I wonder why the being is saying "blood of child"? I'M SCARED 8:46 i literally wasn't expecting to see Harrow using dark magic in that scene. I love your reaction 😄 Rayla has some amazing skills. And the shot with the banther WAS SO COOL The scene with baby Soren made me tear up. Viren was acting like such a good dad, it was so wholesome. And the horror and sadness of loss you could see on his face when Soren crumbled to dust 😢 This episode is making me feel bad for Viren 😢 He really did mess up this relationship with his son didn't he. I wonder what happened to Soren back then though because in season 4 Claudia brought up that without Viren's dark magic Soren would be dead. I finished watching the whole series the day of its release, and I am so excited to see your reaction to each episode! This season is definitely a step up from season 4, and I love the depth and complexity each character has to experience (especially Rayla and Callum when it comes to their relationship, as well as them as individuals). Episode 2 was a pretty great episode tbh. Virens dream sequence is probably one of my favorite things in the entire season tho (yes I have watched all of it bc I’m epic) Rayllum is always great so naturally that was lovely. I also liked how Soren was genuinely concerned for Ezran and how sweet and concerned he was about him it was just 🥹 Also I hate karim. No other further comment I hate him. AND WE NEED TO STOP GIVING CALLUM ANIMALS HOW DID U GET UR HORSE KILLED AND BAIT ALMOST KILLED😭😭 Also u think Stella is gonna be so important later. I find it funny how everyone just bypasses the fact that Stella can just store things in the inbetween and all of us are just like: Yep! That’s Stella! 😀 I rate episode 2 definitely an 7.8/10

Maybe an odd thing to defend, but despite that potty humor usually isn’t my thing, I just thought it was worth mentioning that I actually didn’t mind the poop jokes in this episode. Because unlike similar jokes we’ve had in the show, these actually had narrative context. The whole point is to show that Ezran is still a 12 year old boy, who SHOULD be laughing at silly things like poop jokes, but instead fate has forced him into a role that’s demanding he grow up too soon. And I appreciate that Soren is the one to point that out to him. I wouldn’t say I found it funny, but I surprisingly found it to be a valuable character moment. Otherwise, the Rayllum stuff was really cute this episode, and I love the Viren dream sequence. It’s so much darker than we’re used to in TDP. And I have to admit, I had my worries at the end of season 4 that they were going to undo all the character development they had. I’m relieved that they stuck with it and giving him a real emotional journey to go on this time around.

I love the Rayllum moment in this episode so touching and romantic. I have to admit that the Terry and Claudia moment was touching. Now my question is why did Verin trapped his own mentor Kappar in the cursed coin was it his last lesson or did Kappar make Verin snap at some point. When Callum and Rayla were walking down the path that Verin made back in Season 3 when Ralya said a scar thats healing i love that. There is something that I wonder early in the series did Harro's spirit could be inside of his pet bird pip maybe in his dream of Harro using dark magic on Verin taking out his soul maybe Verin did the same thing to Harro hmm. Anyway when Verin walked into Harros room to be honest with yah I kind of picture seeing his body on the floor on his back holding his sword in his hand with the arrow in his chest then again it could be in the position that it is in this episode. I wonder if something happened to sorin when he was a little kid.

I like this episode, but I feel like it could have had so much more potential. Such as touching upon Rayla leaving Callum, or the trauma each of them have. Their are still really good aspects such as the Raylum moments and I particularly really liked Viren’s dream sequence. Seeing King Harrow again was really cool, and as someone who watches the dark magic spells reversed, when he said “your soul is my treasure” gave me the chills.

I just finished watching season 5 and it was amazing! And one time i was reading one of short stories of it and i learned pyrrah was a girl!
