Love that I found your channel (via IG). One thing I've wondered is how LONG it takes you to read through a book? You annotate so much (which I love) so I am curious how long it takes you to read through a book? It seems like you read a ton....where do you find the time?!

Personally for me, I tend to carry a book with me whenever I can (usually something easier to read) and during those short stretches of free time where I'd usually use my phone, I read. IDK I've been getting busier recently and don't have the time to read for 2 hours straight but when I do, I read more denser books because that is when I can fully emerge myself.

thank you for being here! 🥹 it really depends! i do make time to read in the morning (during weekends), at night (before bed), and during commutes (on the way to work). i also like to read ebooks and audiobooks because it’s much more convenient and really helps when i’m moving around a lot! i also tend to replace my screentime with reading instead :) you would be surprised by the amount of books you get through with these methods! ☺️ any spare time you have in the day can be used to read ✨

@@cupsandthoughts makes sense! I make a lot of time to read but I usually read and annotate/highlight on my kindle. It just seems like when you do it with real books and handwriting, it lengthens the process a lot! I did that in grad school and I read soooo slow because of it. It was a nice luxury to have time to read (for school). Now I read on my kindle or phone (on the go), so it speeds up how quickly I get through a book. Thanks for your response!

it really depends! marina’s writing style is directed towards a much younger audience so it’s not for everyone, and i personally MUCH prefer the writing style in shadow of the wind (it’s way more mature and flows so much better in my opinion). if you don’t mind either, then i highly recommend starting with shadow of the wind :) and then continuing with the rest of the books in order! it’s my favorite series everrr and i cannot wait to reread it again! the story, the writing, the vibes, the mystery, the characters… everything is just so atmospheric and rich!!! 😭🕯️🍂🤍✨

try it out with a pencil and some post-it notes first! 🥰 this was how i started because i was terrified the first time as well haha. you will slowly get used to it and transition to permanent ink! :)
