You over price your vehicles. That car is not worth over $5k. Oldsmobiles from the 90s have no resale value, the mileage does not matter, it’s a 33 year car. Also the fact the car wizard criticizes people who get cars for cheap on videos featuring your vehicles are annoying.

Oldsmobile folded in 2004. If you think these are so cheap and plentiful go find another one. Obviously Euroasian Bob is doing a pretty good business selling cars for his prices or he would have gone out of business a long time ago.

My first car was a 1993 Cutlass Supreme 2 door. I loved that thing, it was super reliable, never gave me issues or left me stranded. It had one weird quirk. Literally the day after I drove it home the transmission developed a weird whine that would wind up in 1st gear only. So EVERYONE knew when I was pulling up. It was like my signature signal.

I always like GM cars from the late 80s to mid 90s. They were reliable I had a couple of Chevy celebrities delta 88 and Buick LeSabre. Replacing an intake gasket, which was common on. These wasn’t too bad of a job. It’s a lot more reliable than these newer GM cars that have timing problems . in the past I never liked Ford. They were the ones that were unreliable but now I can’t say the same honestly, I think as of 2005 to present Ford actually might be more reliable than GM. Chrysler Fiat we won’t mention their name. They’re that bad. unfortunately, even Toyota has problems with the timing chain similar to the GM 3.6 L. I guess all cars are junk these days even the ones that had an impeccable record.

I have a '93 Cutlass Supreme convertible white with white top and red interior 54,000 miles been sitting in my garage in Porter Indiana for 16 years. Was bought new by my mom. One of too many "some day" projects. I think it might be another 10 years before I have time to get to it. Being a Ford man, if it was a Mustang I would have gotten to it years ago.

I've got a soft spot in my heart for these Cutlass Supremes. I still have the 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International I got over 30-years ago when I was in high school. Same body style as this one, but a coupe. I had the horn problem on mine as well probably 2 decades ago. Tried to replace the sponge, but it would still intermittently honk. Ended up just disconnecting the spade lugs on the side horns but left the middle one connected.

In the early 90s, I was working at my first job after I got out of college. I was sent to a customer site for a period of time, and I once had a Cutlass Supreme 4 door sedan as a rental car. I just remember how much I liked that car. Great to see a survivor like this in such great shape.

Actually it has a computer, and it is not OBDII. I drive a 92 Volvo and an 89 chrysler both with pre OBdII computers. When Wizard said that the new mechanics are not interested in working on them, that is why. the Volvo is well supported on line, but the old TBI chrysler has been left in the dust. Only one older shop still has the computer that can analyze the system. I can pull codes and throw parts at it, but like he says, you need the right equipment to properly troubleshoot.

Never ceases to amaze me, how well these cars hold up. Not burdened by electronic and plastic overload. What a joy to look under the hood too. And the best, they quite have a unique character and don’t look all alike like most cars nowadays.

General Motors was famous for their badge engineering (marketing similar cars under different brands with minor badging and cosmetic differences). This car was similar to the Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick Regal and Chevrolet Lumina. That means you could take any of these cars to one of the other brands and the technicians could service it with no issue. Today, almost no one is going to pay expensive dealership service rates on such an old vehicle long since out of warranty.

My dad had a 1992 Buick Regal, sister to the Oldsmobile. Great car! It served him well for many years. I myself owned 3 Oldsmobiles; two G-body Cutlasses and an Omega. I loved them all. When Olds was discontinued I was genuinely saddened. A part of my youth died along with Olds - Rest In Peace.

I had a hardtop 1991 Olds Cutlass Supreme. I owned a 1989 model as well. Loved these cars. The 89 was my first big-boy used car when I turned 21 in 1994. In 95 I hit a deer and traded in on the 91. Somewhere between 94 and 95, I purchased an 89 Grand Prix. It had around 100k and I paid $2000 for it on my credit card (dumb I know now). Ran like crap and had a dented fender. Replaced the fender with aftermarket and changed the spark plugs. It ran amazing and these were my 2 vehicles from 1995 through 2000. Only ever needed to replace the rear wheel calipers. And the Pontiac needed new driver door handle replaced twice (common failure point on the coup model). Didn't realize the Lumina shared the same class. I got a 98 Lumina in 2004. The 3.1L lasted for 150k miles and 10 years! It leaked oil, but never died on me... I just kept up on maintenance and tires. Best cars I ever owned.

Thank you for sharing this Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. As an owner of two Oldsmobiles( 98( 1996) and Toronado( 1992) I say thank you. It was great to see it was in great shape and all the features are holding up and other items as well. The digital gauges did go away sadly and were replaced by analog gauges. They made other changes such as the headlights and the instrumentation panel and engine options and power. It sadly never got the 3800 V6. Buick Regal had it as an option, but by the second generation W Body, they all offered the 3800 V6. In Oldsmobile's case it was in the Intrigue.

Thanks for showing us this amazing car! I’ve been hoping for a video since I saw it in the background on the channel. When I was a teenager in the mid 90’s, I remember seeing one of these and thinking it looked so good. I loved that ‘roll bar’. I saw one at a dealership near my job and had to check it out. It ended up being a fully loaded ‘94 in ‘98, right after I turned 18, and I convinced my dad to co-sign on a loan so I could have it. Soon after, he tried to convince me to let him take it over, but that wasn’t happening. Mine was a white 3.4L with a black top and charcoal grey interior with the 5 spoke rims. It was quick, and the dual exhaust sounded amazing, especially driving under an overpass. It had the bucket rear seats, all auto-down windows, and it had heads up display! My opinion is that ‘94 had the best looking interior, because they changed up a few of the controls and the steering wheel from the earlier generations (it had HVAC controls on it as well!), but it wasn’t the rounded dash look of the later years. I really enjoyed that car, and I was a little sad to let it go when I finally sold it about 15 years ago.

As an owner of a soon to be "Classic" convertible (2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Limited), I love seeing these older verts. Never a GM fan, but drove many of these back in the 80's/90's while working for Avis Rent-A-Car. They are as comfortable as your couch. Euroasian Bob has this one priced right. 40k miles? LOADS of top down driving left in this car!!

I had one identical looking, but not a convertible. Mine however, was a very rare 91 International 5 speed manual (Getrag HM-284) with the 3.4 DOHC. It had quad leather buckets, digital dash, and HUD. It was 1 of 109 made that year. They only made 500 total 3.4 DOHC 5 speed cars between the Grand Prix, Cutlass, and Lumina. They only made this combo in 1991 and 1992. There was 1 93 GP with the combo. You could also get the quad 4, 2.8, and 3.1 with the 5 speed HM-282 from 88-92. There were no manuals after the 1 93 was built. The 3.4/284 combo was very fun, the trans was only ever paired with the 3.4 in those 3 cars. It was geared perfectly for the high revving 3.4. If ran to the redline (which was 500rpm higher in manuals), it would drop you in the next gear at 3,200rpm, right where the powerband started to pull hard. They had a much shorter throw than the 282, and also had a pull-type clutch similar to the corvettes.

Unfortunately, I sold it in like 2015 with a brand new create engine not installed yet. The original developed a rod knock. I believe the guy lives in Northern MN that bought it from me. The only option it did not have was the D.I.C., but through a forum, I found out that all the HUD cars were pre-wired for the D.I.C. I bought one used from a member and added it. It also had the sunroof. It also had a bad PMIII abs pump, and those are unobtainium! Napa used to rebuild them for $1,500 back in the day. I was going to try to source a 5-speed firewall plate for the vacuum brakes and convert it, but I never got that far.

Most of the 2.8 & 3.1 5 speeds had normal non ABS brakes. But unless you want to chance it and weld on new studs and hope to hell you got it right, you need to pull the entire dash and swap that firewall plate out. The Power master III ABS system was a nightmare and only used a couple years in the high optioned cars. I believe this system was also pioneered in the corvette. People say that when working properly, it was better than modern ABS brake systems, but they usually are not in working order, and parts are impossible to find. I believe the auto 3.4 was 215 hp or 225, the manual was 15 or 25 hp more. There are stories of this 3.4 5 speed combo being turned up close to 300hp in development, but supposedly were de-tuned because they were outrunning the Corvettes of that era. They said the Getrag HM-284 paired with the 3.4 would handle at least 300-400hp, and was sopposedly the strongest FWD transmission to ever leave GM. The auto could hardly handle the 3.4 that was turned down from the manual version without exploding.

100% with you on this one. The later 92-94 coupes with the 6 front lights was awesome! I remember taking vacation down to the jersey shore and Avis gave my dad an Aqua blue color that glistened in the night. The convertible looks a bit awkward, but with the hardtop coupes with those six lights across the front, they perfected it.

Thank you very much for this video. I was pleased to hear Wizard's describing this lovely car. That is because I have similar Olds Cutlass Supreme vert, but 1993 with 3.4 LQ1 DOHC, one with 4 small square head lams which Wizard talked about. I live in Europe thus Oldsmobile is even more rare here than in the USA. And I am 99% sure my 93 Cutlass Vert is the one and only in Slovakia, my country. My car is over 160K miles and sure has more issues than this one (conv.top leaking, engine oil leaks, ABS light on ...). It also have issue with side horn buttons. They both do not work. Horn only works when the middle steering wheel is pressed. Still I love my Cutlass and it is really an extra rare eye catcher here in Europe. People just do not know what it is 🙂

Think he only got a year with it as it had gone through 2 transmissions before he asked for a complete new car but at the time, these were lookers...still are!

Those 2.8/3.1 V6's were also notorious for leaking oil from the "distributor" shaft that goes down into the block right about the bellhousing. The o-ring fails and oil pours out. Although these are DIS, the Lumina minivans with this engine had a distributor.

Toyota car care nut yesterday had a video about a 94 lexus. The dealer gave up on. The ecu had problems. They used the parts cannon on it. They put cheap non-oem parts creating more problems. They couldn't diagnos the problem. Just like the car wizard, this guy can find and fix the problem. He also hates cheap parts. They cause more problems.

I had a 95 Olds Cutlass sedan, in Forest Green, fully loaded. Second best car I've ever had. Only issue I had was when I first hit a pothole in the morning (common here in Detroit), the ABS light would come on. Still had ABS tho. We could never get that problem fixed.

I used to be a lot porter at a car dealership and I got to drive all kinds of cars, from a Toyota Tercel to a Rolls Royce. We had an old 1991 Cutlass ride in as a trade in for a new car. It had over 100k miles on it, and it was an absolute JOY to drive! As old as it was, it drove as smooth as a newborn! I actually asked my boss if I could drive it home one night (they were going to wholesale it, anyway) when my car was broke down, and he let me. Fun ride!

I used to have a 1993 cutlass supreme convertible that I absolutely loved with about 70,000 miles and the dual cam 3.4 V6. I loved the engine but it was a pain in the ass to work on. I remember having to do a alternator in it years ago and I never swore so much in my life until I did that alternator. Other than that, it was an amazing car that I wish I never sold. I bought it from my mom when I was 16 and sold it when I was 22. I only sold it because I didn’t want to daily drive it because it was so mint and I needed something 4wd and I could afford to have 2 cars at the time. I do hope to get another one some day.

My great aunt owned one of these in Minnesota it floated around the family as a family car and is still on the road I think today! My grandparents owned this exact model except it was blue. I miss being in the back of it as a kid the seats were super squishy.

My uncle had a 30th Anniversary model (he's in his mid 60s now) but it had the 3400 DOHC in it. Babied it, did all the maintenance, still destroyed the headgasket - god it was a gorgeous color combo too tan leather and an emerald green exterior. His cousin who owned a auto repair shop bought it from him and swapped in a 3.1 V6 and drove it into the ground.

Top notch condition for it's age, museum quality. I attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College 2013-2015 for electrical construction and owned a red 1992 Pontiac Sunbird convertible as my first car, 3.1L V6 and 5 speed manual, paid $1250 cash. Sadly the body was badly rusted from the hash Michigan winters and the top leaked like a sieve, getting a nice drenching while driving in the rain was business as usual and the car began to have electrical problems as a result. About a month after graduating the oil pump went out and because the some of the gauges including the oil pressure guage quit working or worked intermittently, I had no way to know that there was a problem and the engine seized up while on the way home from a job interview. I ended up scrapping the car and brought a 1993 ford ranger, also a 5 speed manual/ 2wd.

Knew someone who had one. These were really easy to work on and didn't cost so much to maintain past 200k miles. Many of them made it far. Don't see many on the road anymore but every now and then one pops up.

Too Funny ..., I owned a late 80 Internal Olds Cutlass .. Over 250k on mine before engine died ! W body . Brake calipers sleeves always seized up. Slight gas leak at tank seam.. My driver cloth seat came apart at the seams from all my driving ... That car was such a smooth comfortable driving car ... Thanks for the Vid 😊

I had a 92 coupe with the same engine. It was always a good car, but it didn't have a cool digital dash like this 91! Despite the sport handling package, it handled like a boat. It was very comfortable on long trips. Also, it tended to burn through coils.

My cousin had one, it was originally her parents car, a black one , a 2 door. It was the same generation, but a few years newer, it had slightly different cosmetic features. I think hers was a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 door coupe.

My first car was a 1990 international edition coupe. Same color and wheels, all digital dash. It was in rough shape with 200k miles, but it was a really cool car

Loved these cars! My friend's family had a white two door coupe. Fully optioned out with captain chairs in the back. I remember that gauge cluster and the steering wheel had a million buttons lol

GM10 platform. I found a 1995 Grand Prix for my daughter, only 57K miles, as of today parked in the driveway. There were a few problems, including brake lines, motor that oozed coolant and oil. Someone tried to 'customize' the interior. But the body is really in great shape. Put on new struts all 4 corners. GM 3100 works great with all new gaskets/seals everywhere, Fel-Pro. The 3.4 Twin-Dual Cams are all dead, but the pushrod 3100's keep on going and going.

I "met" a 1994 Lincoln Town Car yesterday with 120,000 miles. I'm just an old-lady passerby but I will never forget the car or the owner and the gorgeous deep-sea turquoise color. It was love at first sight. Turns out the owner takes it on a long trip every year to car shows. The car has a similar "personality" to the '91 Cutlass!

My dad had one of these, same year but black and it was a sedan. He drove it to over 300,000 miles and the only thing I remember going wrong was the horn quit working. We lived in California so it wasn't rust that killed it, but I can't remember what did. I think the transmission went. After that he got a brand new 2000 Chevrolet Impala.

My father had a 4 door. I took my driving test on that car. It was a great car. I always wanted the convertible with that amazing dashboard.

I think I saw a couple of these (the convertible) back when. One in a teal color. A house across the street from me in the early 90s had a 4dr sedan version parked out front. In a green color. I did like the looks of these cars. Have not seen one in many years.

I had an '89, I believe, Cutlass Supreme International Series in high school. Loved that car. Then I blew up the transmission. I'd like to get one of those in decent shape again. Ah. Memories.

I will say a lot of these late 80s Early 90s and 2000s cars by buick, GM and ford, have found new life as quarter mile cars in Georgia. I watch tons of drag racing from that state and if you love those early 90s 2000s buicks, like this one, lots of them are still alive.

I used to have a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass supreme four-door It had the digital dash leather interior. Power sunroof. Power everything. It had one of those stupid computers and it would tell you how much oil life you have left as well as other information.

The GM W-body cars may have gotten a lot of criticism, some deserved and some not, but this convertible Cutlass is right on so many levels. I had an '89 Cutlass Supreme coupe as my first car and I loved it.

This car came in a Supreme SL hardtop for the 94 year that was this beautiful minty blue color. I'm looking for that car. This car is one of my top 5 favorite fwd cars. Which is to say, I wish they'd kept the rwd. I bet could make a bad little 4wd car with one of these and some Honda parts.

Have to watch those idle air controls. My wife's '90 Cougar had one fail that made the idle about 2500. Another guy with a '92 Ford F150 had a similar issue.

I had a 92 in 1999 with a 3.1. It was the most fun I've had. Ever. Aside from the 83 2 door Caddy coupe broham I had at the same time. Now I'm old.

I tried to put 15 inch wire wheels, but it's like my lowrider Caddy at the time, you have to grind the caliper unless you want them to poke out with spacers. Man I miss this car.

That gasket leak for intake is one I have done a few times. It can cause so many problems. With the PCV, it becomes actually a big vacuum leak! It can affect performance, brake feel. So much stuff.

Had to do a Paint Delamination on a 93 (Red ,Ivory) with Twin Cam V-6 was a real nice car. Shop was painting btwn. 10 and 12 cars per week GM Delaminations. That Cutlass was a real nice looker.

Back in the mid-90's, I owned an 84 Cutlass. It blew the engine after 6 months so I replaced it with a 92. It's insane computer climate control turned on AC in the winter, and heating in the summer. After a year I traded it for a brand new Honda Civic and been driving Hondas only since (Civic, Accord, 2 Pilots) - GM - never again. Cutlas broke me.

True fact on the lower intake gaskets. I had an Alero about 20 years ago and that job cost me like $800 that I didn’t have and the car only had 50,000 miles on it.

I had the exact problem with the horn contacts on my 1975 Electra years ago. The car has airbags and the horn contacts are inside the driver module. I had to lift the vinyl cover over the airbag and add foam for all 4 horn contacts.
