Our buddy who loves rock n roll because we all have one. ❤ love Douglas and his stubborn personality. Love his pretty RAF blue and the RAF Target. I like to think that he takes a special train full of RAF veterans once a year. Love the the tokens look like giant keys! It’s like you’re receiving a key to unlock the next section of track!

Since Douglas had a short wheelbase and rough riding, did that ever cause it to derail? If so, then what date?

My best bet is yes, even though it is because of the Railway Series books. Awdry is known for making very realistic stories based on real life events.
