the fact that my hair is exactly like yours and I had no idea because I though my hair was super damaged or just weird since I never see your hair (or any curly girl hair on social media) throughout the days, so I've always been looking for a product/technique to help my curly hair look "normal". Tbh this video made me feel so much better about my hair

Omg please please do more of these ‘through the week’ videos. Even if it’s just a shorter “this is how it looks after waking up”… “this is what I’m gonna do with my hair today” kinda video would be so helpful. My hair is a lot like yours but thinner.. so after I put it into a loose bun/ponytail and sleep on it, the curls rarely last more than 2 days (even using a satin pillowcase). I always end up refreshing and leaving it down but it’s becoming such a pain, so trying to figure out other hairstyles and the struggles behind it. Thank you!!

I love this honest video! It makes me feel so much better about my own curls. I go through a lot of the days you do. I pick mine up in a messy bun just like yours for work 2-3 days a week, and some of those days I can let it down and doctor it up a bit if I need to. Too bad we can't have day 1 or 2 hair always. People love curls, wish they had curls, compliment curly girls A LOT, but don't realize how much work it takes to have curly hair. But I wouldn't trade much curls or the work for straight hair.

I don’t know if you’ve done this yet but I would love to see a video of what your hair looks like washed and dried with no product or styling! I really liked that this video helped to break down the expectation of having perfect hair all the time and I think that a video showing your hair in its natural state with no product or styling would help add to this as well as being super interesting!

Hi dear Jayme, I don't know if you will be reading this youtube comment, but I wanted to place it here anyway in hopes you and others may benefit. When you said "I will be doing the unthinkable as a curly girl brushing out my hair" I felt compelled to let you know that it's okay. I know some might disagree, but truly it's down to knowing your hair and what is best. I personally dry brush before washing my hair because I lose less hair, and ironically enough it is truly less of a hassle. Fun fact, if you use oil (you don't have to use a lot) before detangling, it will provide enough slip to allow those tangles to come out. Also detangling your hair in sections can help too versus trying to get all the tangles out in one go. Again, this is all based on trial and error. Personally, I try detangling when my hair is matted and wet and it's a disaster. It's so much better for me to dry detangle and I don't cause any breakage due to the oil providing slip for my hair. On top of that if you do pre-poo oil treatments it's so beneficial for your scalp, and it protects your ends and gives them some nourishment before further stripping of a shampoo. I highly recommend giving this a go especially since you have longer hair now. If you do give it a go I hope it adds to your routine and makes it easier. God bless you! My fellow sister in Christ. :)

my hair looks just like this! do u think protecting it at night would help? also i always re wet it and style it again maybe on the third day. you slick back a lot which i’ve learned pulls on your scalp. now anytime i have it up it hurts me knowing it’s pulling my hair. i use hair clips right now. i also try doing a braided look at the end so if my scalp needs any oils it’s easy to apply for my wash and for detangling.

please please please do an ayurvedic mask (Amla powder or Brahmi, or Ashwagandha, or Bhringaraj) I'm telling you, you're gonna see BIG difference in curls staying curly for a long time. I was praying God would show me what to do and first time I tried out Amla mixed with Moringa powder, my hair BECAME PHENOMENAL, I had the most juicy curls for 7 days without refreshing. Get a deep conditioner you love, put some amla powder in there, even some moringa (little amount bc it has protein) mix it all up, put it in dirty hair (doesn't have to be clean curls). Leave it in for 25 mins and rinse, doing your actual routine. In God's name, You'll see extreme change for the better.
@reaanthi96012 жыл бұрын
@@maddie-hs4ln I'm from greece so I bought it from an online nearby shop but you can find them anywhere, even Ebay sells them. Just make sure its 100% natural and not mixed herbs. I recommend you watch Proudmane and CurblyProverbz. They have full videos dedicated on them. Proudmane has one video in particular where she describes the benefit of every powder (for irritated scalp, hair growth, hair strength etc) while CurlyProverbz gives you a lot of tips on how much to use and when. (Its important to let your hair cope/rest after those masks bc they're really strong. I overdid it once and got protein overload so be careful. My mistake was I did two masks in a small period of time) Now I'm making tea rinses for hair growth but I reccomend deep conditioner mixed with ayurvedic powders for curl improvement. My tips are; the less you do the better, a tea rinse or a deep conditioner mixed with ayurvedic herbs once a week is enough. Do it for 30 mins before you properly wash your hair. And last but not least, always always always deep Condition AFTER those treatments to balance out the power of these herbs. They're really strong and can leave the hair very dry if you dont deep condition.

@StormyDay2 жыл бұрын
Why don’t you wet your hair down!!?! I have very long hair and honestly, I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t refresh every day! Here’s an easy fix: have two 16 oz sprayers on hand, one with water and a tablespoon of your crème (if it’s a small sprayer, adjust accordingly) and the other with water and a tablespoon of your gel. If your hair feels soft but is frizzy, use the gel water. If your hair feels dehydrated, use the crème water. Or use both if necessary. I’ve made stronger solutions especially for the gel but adjust both mixtures to what works best for you. (Spraying gel on your hair is awesome. ) This saves you from washing and feeling frustrated and doing damage by having to put it up all the time. Usually, the underside of my hair is okay, I just do it on the canopy, but I’ve had days when I soak it. Detangle with fingers. When it gets super tangled, I’ve even brushed it out completely, rewet it with the crème solution almost completely wet and finished with straight gel from the tube/jar. Winter is coming so remember too you can’t use your summer routine bc of the dew point, add a LIC bc of the dryness and use protein and moisture masks every week.
