Odd from my perspective, coming to here from Runescape. But that's the beauty of the game, you don't need to learn how to play it's a sandbox mmo do whatever you wanna do learn at your own pace. Ironically the more I learnt the less fun I had.

If you're not aware, you could probably be listening to RuneLite's onConfigChanged event to be able to restart the serial connection when the config is changed without restarting the client.

A very nice project :) When it comes to reading HP values, it was probably a better solution to just use some program to create Trainers, e.g. Cheat Engine. It allows you to easily find a place in the memory where any value from any game is stored :) (Although I must admit that I do not know if it would be considered a cheat in the case of online games)

As an avid RuneScape player, the use of cheat engine would result in a ban. We cannot even use macros that aren't 1:1 inputs but your solution is better he just can't use it I imagine.

Oooh, this gives me an idea. I bet you could make a bluetooth GATT server on your desktop where an HP characteristic is set by the RuneLite client. Then you can read that value off of an ESP32 wirelessly.
