This year we were too dependant on older players on 1 year contracts, but we had no other choice. To me, one of the biggest problems is the lack of young, cheap talent in the pipeline down the roster. Obviously, the lack of picks from 22-24 has alot to do with it, but I'd argue there's not enough of an emphasis on player development from how we pick players to how much time they're given in practice. I know going all in will bring an urgency to get your best players on the field at all times, but the good organizations always seem to emphasize player development, even while they're winning.

I’ve always said this - your 6th and 7th round picks should be for the STC to pick and get your ST contributions that way instead of spending $$ in FA

Agreed, or you take the chance on a player with upside that might have some injury concerns. Not in the 1st or 2nd rd

Great insight. A couple of questions for you. Tyler Warren at 13? Trade Tyreek for a late 2nd or early 3rd along with a 5th round pick. Positions of need OG, OG, TE, Safety, Safety, middle linebacker, WR, 2QB.

I don't see us getting a 2nd rd pick, much less an additional 3rd. I think we're looking at a 4th rounder. Maybe a conditional 4th that can become a 3rd if we're lucky. If you combine his age, play last season, wrist injury, and off field issues. A team isn't going to give us a high pick. Then, they're likely going to have to pay him. If they don't pay him, then nobody is giving up a 2nd for a 1 year rental. I think if we wait until the trade deadline, we'd be able to get the most value for him, but we'll see how it goes
