I had always wanted to humbly ask for a koboskini from Elder Ephraim. He gave me his koboskini without me even asking. I will never forget this and still cherish his koboskini and always will.

Fr Peter, please post a short video, like this one, on your first meeting with St Ephraim & your impression of him then, for the many, who have not yet heard it. Thank you.

Just imagine the most humble person you've ever met... where you may have a horrible sin that you are ashamed of, and this little giant brings it out as if it's ok and you're happy about it. A blessing to the world.

Meeting him in person is inexplicable. Many people including myself, felt Christ-like love pouring out from his face as he smiled at you. My heart felt like it was imploding; Elder Ephrem reignited sparks of repentance in many, and brought them back to a true orthodox lifestyle of humility and struggle with joy.

I'm blessed to live 20 minutes away from one of the monasteries that Elder Ephraim built. I went there first during my search and introduction into Orthodoxy. I was blessed to develop a friendship with one of the older monks there that was close to the Elder. He guided me to a priest who catechised me and baptized me into the faith. My wife is beginning her catechism as well. All glory be to God and his servants.

I'm on the other side of the world, and at our perish there is a young dogma and etc loving deacon, but when asked who established monasticism in America he shamefully answered "Elder Ephraim after all", as if ashamed of it being true So something is going on among old school priests (he's got Seminary education, holds some of opinions contrary to Truth but prevalent in Orthodoxy)

He should never have left the Russian Church Abroad, for that bastion of the heresy of ecumenism known as the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

Stay true to the Lord, Who is the Truth. And bring many to Him, who were lost in the spirit of this world (secularism, ecumenism...).

If he said to stay in Greece, and he is an elder, whatever possessed you to return to the United States of America? That's the most interesting question which arises from this narrative. I cannot imagine anyone wishing to return to the United States, who has had the privilege, pleasure, and honor of living just outside of Thessaloniki, and so near to the Holy Mountain as well.

The videos I have seen of Elderm Ephriam profile him as a very odd man. It is very likely the many monestaries he created are certainly a product of some kind of nefarious financial endeavor ... money laundering, probably . Fr. Heers always uses the word "saint" to gloss over and dismiss certain practicalities and turn them into mystical or spiritual occurances.
