I actually like the concept of the demiurge and his archons, the father, Sofia, and the eons. I personally see it as a piece of a larger puzzle. What if gnostic concepts showed us the problem and Jesus's teachings gave us the solution. What if the secret knowledge is the realization that the demiurge….is YOU!, that the demiurge is your shadow that needs to be confronted, understood, and integrated. What if loving others as you love yourself, having compassion and understanding even towards your enemies, even towards the demiurge, combined with loving and compassionate acts, is the path to dissolving the delusion of the demiurge and the realization of one's own Christ consciousness, that was always there.
@rolfskytte10 күн бұрын
Read Jesus yourself and then read it again. These things that you dream of combining - they don't mix. Save yourself. Edit: God is real, and christ consciousness is heresy for a reason: it is acting like God yourself, instead of holding Him up. It leads to death (not in the way you think). Repent ♥️

The demiurge is what God appears to be when you have never tasted his light, it's the idea of God we get when we have not yet found him, the God that seems tyrannical due to the fact people worship him and you have no idea why, but the demiurge falls apart when you realise he was looking for a way to connect to you, from infinite being to finite being

My best friend died 2 days before Christmas 2024. Declared dead for 5 hours he went to "Heaven" and met with 7 Elohim, Adam and Eve as with "The One" as a divine bright and shinning light. What was shared with him was Gnostic to the core. He was then asked by "The One" if he would like to return to his body or stay and reincarnate. He chose to return so that he can share his story. I say with him for 5 hours the other night and will be listening to him some more this weekend as I tattoo his Chest. His story is amazing and because he's been my brother since a young boy I think I trust him more than anyone else. Secondly he was a believer but was not met my Jesus? Lastly God or "The One" told him that he is the original sin and therefore everything even our sins are of him. Forget about all scripture or books. They apparently have all been twisted by man. Even those red letters you referenced from. This he too was shown.... No book can assist you in your spiritual journey as divine sparks of God/The one. Even the nastiest beings on earth are part of that divine spark. In short ALL are ONE.

I have heard many NDE (near death experiences), over the years, though some stories can be totally different, the core of the message is still the same, all is One. I equate this to the same as individual life experiences. You can have two identical twins interpret the same life situation differently, yes I agree words have been twisted over time but the overall message of Yeshua (Jesus) is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself because all is God

I will be honest with you I had to stop at 18:34 because your understanding of gnosticism is incredibly shallow. There are various gnostic sects with different beliefs. For exemple the Valentinians does not believe the Demiurge to be evil. The Mandeans who are still present today do not recognize Jesus as the son of god and have nothing to do with Paul nor paulinian theology. Generally speaking most of them recognize the tribal war deity Iao/ zeus/ Jupiter known as YAHWEH to be the real devil and creator of the evil material universe. Voegelin in his books " a new science of politics" recognizes some characteristics to the gnostics, the main ones being an irreversible dissatisfaction with life, the belief in a flawed cosmos rather than human inadequacy and the belief in salvation to be found in the individual. Any refutations of gnosticism based on literal interpretation of the new testament will be seriously flawed
@thenaturalpeoplesbureau8 күн бұрын
Most forms of gnosticism are structurally identical with Vishnuism, the largest hinduist denomination of over 600mio ppl. So we have the supreme monad or one, Proarke (before creation, the father looking within), who in india is nirguna brahman or para vasudeva (for the shaivas, nishkala shiva). Then we have the four luminaries first created - these are the four vishnus or vyuhas, Vasudeva, sankarshana, pradyumna and aniruddha - if para is the absolute consciousness, the second vasudeva is feeling, sankarshana knowledge, pradyumna will and aniruddha is energy. Then out of the last of these, were created the 24 aeons, of which the first four, are a repetition of the four lights or vyuha (Armozel, Oroiael, Davethai and Eleleth). These are in india also named the same, in gnosticism these are called bythios (profundity), nous (spirit), logos (word) and anthropos(man). So the latter is the pneumatic anthropos or cosmic man. This is identical with the rik-vedic purusha, and aniruddha (uncontrollable) representing this being - in india, purusha or aniruddha, is the sumtotal of energy and all the observers or souls - it is this multiarmed form, which Krishna showed on the battlefield when the Gita was spoken. The other 20 aeons are recombinations of the divine attributes that the four primary aeons establish. Hence these are 24 aeons, just as the keshava namas mention 24 vyuhantaras of vishnu. Structurally 100% identical to the last detail. Hinduism views it similar to the valentinians that brahma is flawed but not necessarily evil, the purusha hymn says that god, vishnu, purusha, created the substratum of the world, the matrika, and within this was born cosmic intelligence (not spirit, that would be the first 2 aeons) which was called Brahma. The old purusha hymn was saying that basically purusha has three parts (the other three aeons or vishnus being inside him like matrioshkas) whereas this fourth part was dismembered by Brahma the demiurge, and turned him into the world and all of us. The three parts are immortal, and the fourth being born again and again (until a soul is liberated). Brahma, born of the navel of Vishnu, the spirit of god, did think himself to be the supreme creator, but the feminine counterpart of Logos/Pradyumna was sent to enlighten Brahma about Krishna being the supreme. Then Brahma could see the lotos of time on which he sat, and the gigantic form of maha vishnu laying on the waters of devastation. In india, only Shiva, Vishnu and the divine feminine, shakti, are worshipped. Brahma has only 1 single temple, and is seen as a lesser being who does not really have control over himself... His function is material creation, whereas Nous or Sankarshana (making rows, plowing, all-attraction) is the spiritual creator, and destroyer of the material world.

Or maybe... All of you are correct! Maybe it's absurd to think there is only one truth. 😅 Maybe you are just one variation off all truths. The universe in my opinion is like a Mandelbrot, forever ongoing and without defining. And part of this structure is that anything can be true. Just not permanent!! Because a ever growing changing Mandelbrot (universe) cannot stay the same for eternity. by the very existence of energy, it must change. So your version of gnosticism and aarons can hold place to be true somewhere and somehow. And I will not accept your rebuttal if it is only one sided and narrow minded

Aaron has done a very poorly researched exposition of gnosticism, and hence this refutation is poor. Gnosticism is so diverse and encompasses so many concepts that what is presented here is small part of the whole. Gnosticism without christian influences exists and predates Christ, Mandaeism is ancient and no one really knows how far back it goes. As to the 3 pillars - 1. True Gnosticism is non dual, see Apocryphon of John. 2. Secret knowledge is not the best intepretation of gnosis - it would be more accurate to call it "knowing the truth behind the scenes". 3. Re divine sparks being trapped, u either believe it or not. There is evidence of a soul trap mechanism in place, there are presenters presenting evidence and data and questioning things like spiritual experiences, ndes and other conspiracy theories. Doesnt mean it isnt correct as well.

Sorry Aaron, but you missed it big time on Gnosticism. Gnostic is hidden knowledge, not crazy beliefs. Religion and atheism are beliefs. Revelation will be coming soon, so hang in there.

All of these pillars are taken directly from the Gnostic gospels my friend. The Gospel of Judas, the Apocryphon of John, Gospel of Mary, the Treatise of Seth, the Origin of the World, the Gospel of Peter, the Apocalypse of Peter, etc. As I said, there’s definitely some good stuff in Nag Hammadi. But it is the exception not the rule. Saying what is true is never “divisive”, but always liberating. Blessings 🙏🏼

Get a strong concordance and look these things up for yourself. Look at the word hell and you will find out that Paul never uses it. not once not ever. I've been accused of being a gnostic myself by carnal Christians. Jesus was tortured while in a physical body. He is not in a physical body anymore however. You cannot physically follow him so you must be led by his spirit. The holy spirit is a spirit that will lead you into all truth it's not a third person of a trinity. Call is our connection for understanding that our spirituality came through jesus's suffering in the flesh.

I actually will take back what I said last time, Aaron. I was basically saying your efforts would only benefit nonchristians and your efforts would be wasted on christians because most of them would just double down on what they were taught to believe, but if you keep dropping bombs like this, it makes it much easier for them to see the truth of their beliefs and make the switch from the fear mongering doctrine of believe the right thing or go to hell to true Christianity much easier. You're doing much needed work, so thank you. We all deserve to know the real good news, which allows us to embody it.
@Anarchy_NZ10 күн бұрын
You need to keep researching Gnosticism it's no Dogmatic as you portray it as. John the Baptist is the Father of Gnostic Christianity not Paul. It's not a religion it came out of the Jewish Mystery Schools. The Gnostic Creation Story is in complete alignment with Jesus's Creation Story in the Book "A Course in Miracles". Early Gnosticism is Non-Dualistic. It later become Dogmatic and by the time the Cathars emerged in the 17th Century and became a Dualistic religion. Early Gnostics did believe that the physical universe or matter was a mistake however it is not seen as sinful and deserving of punishment. They believed this mistake allowed the possibility for the journey of the mystical accent back to heaven or the metaphysical world. Some believed there was some divine higher purpose to the creation of physical universe but regardless it is not the real world. There is no duality because the physical universe is not real as also stated in ACIM. The metaphysical universe is One and the physical universe is a result of "the tiny mad idea" which is the belief in separation. Pistis Sophia basically explains this process of spirits decent into matter in a metaphorical sense where as ACIM does not go into detail as it is kind of irrelevant now. The fact is we are here now and if we follow Christ's path we can accened into the spiritual realm from where we came and belong. The Father and Son are not one but also not two. It'd hard for the mortal mind to understand the relationship between Creator and Creation but as Jesus states in ACIM the physical world was made because a part of the Sonship tried to usurp the Father's right to first cause. First Cause did not happen in time but by denying God as First Cause time was born not in truth but in illusion. The moral of the story is that if you deny God you deny your own identity.

Love your content Aaron - but I will say that you have some misunderstandings about Gnosticism. If you delve into study on the various paths that come from Gnosticism and later Rosacrutianism , anthroposophy and many other mystical Christian paths you will find much deeper understandings of terms such as “gnosis”, “demiurge”, “Sophia”, etc. A big thing to understand is what may be referred to now as spiritual archetypes. Many ppl take old stories/teachings/writings literally but it is more useful to use them as archetypes of spiritual awakening. For example, saying we have a divine spark of god trapped inside our body may not attempt express that your body is evil (ie the world/physical is bad). It can be an archetypal picture whereas the physical body is a symbol of the materialistic pull of the flesh that can block our connection to our innate spirit.

First.... do you want to learn about what Jesus desires from a podcast that displays Buddah PROMINANTLY on their podcast set? Talk about a RED flag!?!?!? These guys are trying to mix Buddah with Jesus!! They are clearly antichrist! -- (103.8)--- They are denying the resurrection of Jesus Christ!???? They deny hell! This is a false doctrine what this Aaron Abke is "teaching"!--- If you want to know if our Bible today, is REAL and stands up to snuff.... find out how close it comes to the original texts, of which there are hundreds going back to the septuigent, which the Dead Sea Scrolls confirmed. But even more than that.... do the books in the Bible, especially the ones that are being disparaged in this video by Aaron Abke.... have God's "signature" on them?? --- If you truly want to find out... which I doubt you do, you will go and watch Brandon Peterson's videos (Truth Is Christ channel) about what was discovered in the best selling version of all time... the King James Version! The most sold version still today, and once you see HOW God put His own hand on this version... in ENGLISH, not in the original Hebrew or Greek.... it will blow your mind, guaranteed! It will prove to any person, without a shadow of the doubt, that man could NOT have written this version of the Bible, but that God's Hand was on it to preserve His Word.. for this generation alive today! It is totally false what Aaron is saying.......Paul wrote most of the New Testament and he DID meet Jesus personally which is a requirement to being an apostle.....evident in the book of Acts. He was Saul... who used to persecute the Jews, before God had an encounter with him and changed his life! He had been one of the Pharasees who had followed Jesus and rebuked him, even taking part of the death of Stephen in Acts 7: 58! So yes, Saul, later referred as Paul... except where he was meeting with Jewish persons in some cases.... so they would accept him as a JEW, had been one of the Pharasee's that had previously rebuked Jesus.... hence, Peter and some didn't trust him at first. But Paul DID meet and know Jesus! Just because he wasn't a follower of Jesus from the beginning, he had met Jesus personally and heard His teachings. As I listened to Aaron give his take on how the books written by Paul in the New Testament, and his take on "salvation", I could see easily how he could make the statement that "This is why all the younger generation is leaving the Christian church and don't want to be with the older persons" ..... apparently the "mis-led crowd", according to Aaron Abke. (151.12)-Aaron says the first STEP-- one must repent because the kingdom of heaven is RIGHT NOW. (at hand)... and you are already in the kingdom. What does repent mean? Repent means a change of mind about Who Jesus is! Aaron says the next STEP is obedience. Only if you obey the commandments... will you STAY saved! -- Really??? What if you can't keep all the commandments, are you then unsaved again? How well do you have to keep them... in order to stay saved? What if you lie? "Yes honey.... you look skinny in that outfit." What if you see an attractive person other than your spouse and have a lapse of fantasy about them... you didn't keep the commandment about adultry! Are you still saved? Jesus says if you break one commandment then you break them all. Aaron says the third STEP is service to others. When we die.... we are immediately present with the Lord. Will we still sin? Absolutely, because we still live in our earthly body in a fallen world. But God no longer sees that sin, all He sees from that moment on is that blood covering. We need to ask for forgiveness when we recognize our sin.... not to stay saved, but to remain in fellowship without guilt. If we are guilty of sin... how likely are we to share the gospel with others, which is our job on earth? Not very likely if we feel God is disappointed in us, right? It might affect our fellowship.... just like a friend might be mad at us until we tell them we are sorry.....but our "relationship" will NEVER change again! I've got to say, as someone raised in the Protestant church and never really bought into that philosophy, I fell into the trappings of Gnosticism for a short time because I was working with the frame of reference that only a vengeful and evil or even imperfect God would do all these things to his creations. You were absolutely correct about the trauma part for many former "believers". It was something I've spent decades trying to overcome. It never fully resonated with my personal beliefs around Christ and the nature of God and reality because it was just too dismal and complex to be true in my mind. I have always, however, whether consciously or subconsciously, felt a true resonance with the law of one and the teaching's of Jesus. I've never understood how most Christians can proclaim that title while professing any set of beliefs other than those that Christ said himself. Loved this lecture. Thank you

But do you understand that you do not have to believe in all of the gnostic text and still be a gnostic? Gnosis is direct knowing from experience… which is not the same for everybody… I personally do not believe in many of the ancient gnostic texts but I still consider myself to be a gnostic

Amen! Brother Aaron, on my spiritual I thought I was Gnostic. But now I consider myself a Buddhist Essene now and after rereading the Bible (mostly the red letters of our Master; Yeshua 😊) I see that Jesus didn't see the world as evil but can be either your Heaven or your Hell and that you have to tap into Christ within, just as Yeshua did. I now call Jesus Lord because I want to and not because I’m forced to (or I’ll burn in a literal place called Hell. Aaron, I truly believe you are fully tapped into the Christ Frequency and that you are our Lord/teacher and we’re your disciples. Another great video bro. God bless you ☮️☸️

I completely agree with you that Penal Substitution Theory and other sacred doctrines of modern Christianity are examples of Gnosticism. Most of these sacred doctrines are just word salads. The claim is these nonsense phrases like "Jesus paid your penalty" are "divine mysteries" that require "acceptance by faith." Somehow believing nonsense phrases guarantees entrance into heaven. The is complete insanity.

Totally agree. I'm interested in the sentence where Marcion claims, "Paul was selected by Christ to deliver the message of salvation to the Gentiles." This sentence tells me why Christianity heavily influenced by the Romans changed their salvation story. They did so the gentiles could more easily accept Christianity. It was much easier to follow commandments and accept the resurrection than to follow commandments and sell your possessions and giveth to the poor. It seems that Marcion was also sold to the highest bidder as Paul.

Well said. Marcion made an indelible impact on the doctrines of the Orthodox Church, as many of them were adapted to combat Marcionism. What you fight, you strengthen. What you hate, you become. The spirit of the great heretics Paul and Marcion are alive and well in the heart of the Orthodox Church.

First.... do you want to learn about what Jesus desires from a podcast that displays Buddah PROMINANTLY on their podcast set? (Aaron believes in a "works gospel"... that you do one, two and three.... and you remain saved. A person can't work enough... to be good enough to enter the kingdom of heaven. Good luck with that! Yeah sure.... my husband and I left a BIG church for teaching this false doctrine above. Adam, I ask this in a genuine spirit of wanting to understand as I believe your insights to be approaching the most sober I've encountered, particularly when it comes to hairy topics like the fixation with the so-called Gnostic gospels representing Jesus' true word. My question: How do you know what Jesus truly taught? You do an incredible job of dismantling the arguments used to claim Paul as an authority on the subject: he never met Jesus and he has very clear agendas. This we know for sure, given we have his very words (as far as we will ever know anyway) I also agree that there is the whole Christ sacrafice for our sins narrtive appears to have been superimposed onto, or edited into, the first century texts. These are refreshingly sober readings. They are open eyed and rare. But then you yourself seem to have your own narrative- that Jesus refered to the law of one- this would be wonderful! But i fear you are doing the same thing you critique in others, by joining dots that have never been explicitly joined in order to make the Christ you want to believe in. Correct me if im wrong- I hope I am! But there is absolutely no evidence of Jesus referencing the Law of One as it has come to be understood, through Ra and other chanellings. Nor does he explicitly site to the more general "idea" of the Law of One, which would simply state that ultimately we are all one being bound by love. The law Jesus upholds in the canonical gospels is explicitly referenced as the Old Testament Hebrew law of Moses, and these commandments differ immensly from the Law of One! To casually bind them together as comensurate with one another is, I'm sorry, but it's absurd. I try to figure out where your arguments are to explain this casual oversight but so far I havent found any. So that leaves me with no other option than to disregard your insights, because if they rest on the concept that Christ refered to the LOO when he was quoted as refering to the OT, that is just another convenience to justify just another wishful view of Jesus. I dont think I have to list all of the massive differences between the Mosaic and LOO, I'm sure you are aware of how archaic and brutal the OT law is. Jesus is quoted as saying all sorts of things in the canon gospel, he appears as a highly contradictory character. But if we are to accept them as his word, we would have to accept he made very clear he would not change a single letter of the Mosaic law. Personally I have no idea if he said that! I have no idea why the canon turned up decades/centuries after the deaths of its apparent authors. I dont know why we all accept the canon as infallible and in your case, the true word in opposition to Paul's agenda, when the canon itself was written by impersonators trying to "remember" quotes passed down in chinese whispers for decades! And i dont know why we are supposed to accept a small selection of what these people said in these scraps as His true word, especially after passing through the Roman council. And Im confused what your argument is for taking this already insanely unreliable source and further editorialising. I really like your critical work specifically because its a break from the insane distaste for logic and fact displayed by every take on Jesus ever. But why do you then dive into your own trap headfirst? I want you to be all the way logical so i can relax and just listen to someone without having to crosscheck and question everything! I would like to ACTUALLY know Jesus. But unless i believe in the accuracy of my own dreams, I don't see how that's possible. So what we are left with is faith, yes? I believe we can have faith in the fundamental intuitive principles that reveal themselves as obvious to any true seeker of light- in the primacy of love and the eternal oness. I accept these truths as self evident because i see them pulsing through life itself, everuwhere. But i dont think its reasonable to stretch faith to the point of substantiating a very specific set of quotes and concepts to a very specific man very long ago. I don't think thats what faith is meant for and i dont believe reality works to reify highly specific concepts at all, so i don't believe true faith will ever lead to specifics. I can have absolute faith in the LOO, but I can't claim my faith is enough to reveal history's specific truths to me anout the faith of a man i never met. So you tell me, what else is there to tell us anything certain about Jesus words?

I respect what you do, but it is obvious that you don’t fully understand the gnostic gospels. Which is ok and understandable. There is a lack of understanding as to what John was saying in the Apocryphon of John is the most difficult to understand, but I remember what it is that was being expressed in the first portion of the book, which is the story of the first inhabotprs of this universe and their self destructive fall into the self destructive material state. It clearly states that the way up is based on the way we came down. The truth of the gospels is to allow you to recognize your co-creative aspect, that there illusions or “power” in place that have distorted the consciousness of the beings inhabiting this universe and creating a wedge between them and the awareness of their true nature.

It’s not that love isn’t important ~ it’s that we can’t rely on our own strength to love Perfectly. True faith in God is rooted in the resurrection, which assures us of HIS power over death and motivates us to grow in love, following Jesus' example of self~sacrifice, and loving and living without the fear of losing everything. Yes, a lot of people confuse christian mysticism with gnosticism even though they're very different. And a lot of people think that the Gospel of Thomas is a gnostic text, but it was written before gnosticism was a real movement. The original Christians were known as the Nazarenes/Ebionites. I'm convinced that the Gospel of Thomas is an early Ebionite Jewish-Christian text. We could say that it's a text from the tradition of "Ebionite Mysticism." The Ebionites, led by James, possessed the original, authentic teachings of Yeshua before the Pauline branches (Orthodox church and Gnosticism) distorted the teachings of Yeshua. Great stuff as always Aaron! 🙏🏻

I'm ok with the fact that Dualism is not good. But i don't think that every gnostic movement is dualist. You need humility and knowledge to be conscious about your ego, otherwise you are a slave of it. Without knowledge you are blind. I understand why some people deny gnosticism because of the dualism. But i think you need some knowledge to see god. i also think it is the purpose of life on earth. Acquire some knowledge and experiences to achieve a certain level of wisdom. The main reason why our society is so corrupted is because the mass is dumb. The authority keep the knowledge to keep the power. They keep the knowledge to serve their ego.
@thenaturalpeoplesbureau8 күн бұрын
Monad means one without a second, hence nondualism is integer to gnosticism. As is dualism. And trinitarianism and tetrapolarity. For the first four lights and aeons are the primary shapers in gnosis. Bythios, Nous, Logos and Anthropos being these four primary aeons. I am a hinduist personally, but i find it absolutely ridiculous that the christians, at least 98%, are still anti gnostic, and cling to the BS that the three primary churches teach. In my view they are all deluded. The father deity of jesus, was never Jahweh - in christianity his name was kyrios, but the freemasonic movement deleted Kyrios from the texts and replaced him with the jewish deity Jahweh, who most likely is the enemy of jesus christ. Almost all hinduists have accepted Jesus as a form of krishna, so maybe thomas DID a better job than Paul, who knows? Why are there no bibles where the gospels of Mary of Magdala, Thomas and Philipp were not included? Would make more sense to me than to cling to the Tora. The freemasons or elites are kinda antignostic - this is again propaganda - they worship the architect or Brahma/Yahweh/El/Kronos. The masons are not gnostic, nor are the OTO Golden Dawn etc. The OTO is primarily egyptian as is the Golden Dawn. And masonry, well, judaism for the goys. Its all phoenician phoney kabbalah.. There is so much insincerity in the entire discussion, but your points seem to shine here. Christianity is as dualistic as gnosis, so i dont understand that one arguement - world evil god good.

Gnosis isn't a belief system like you assert. Gnosis is knowledge. Direct experience with divinity. It transcends religion and ideology. We are separate from God because of our current condition and identification with the ego. The gnostic texts that you are refuting are based on psychological allegories that teach people how to align with our true nature, which is to be one with divinity. A literalist, belief-oriented interpretation of them is wrong. Jesus was a gnostic master who taught us how to achieve gnosis. The Essenes who Jesus came out of were great gnostics. The story of his life was written as a myth, as were all the ancient spiritual teaching of the day. The story of Jesus parallels many ancient pagan/gnostic myths such as Marduk, Mythra, Osiris, Horus, Zoroaster, Dionysus, Attis, etc. A baby, born of a virgin in a cave during the winter solstice who achieves immortality by dying and resurrecting on the third day. It's a story as old as civilization and it should not be taken literally, nor should the ideas of gnosticism. Gnosis is the roadmap to achieve mystical experience.

@ agreed. It just shows how degenerated and misunderstood many of the ideas of Gnosticism and other religions have become. There are many people who claim to be gnostic that are really not at all. I see gnosis as an active, mystical and experiential devotion to whatever religion you practice. It’s actually compatible with all religions because it is the root of all world religions. Another thing that’s interesting to think about is that Paul was the teacher to the gentiles and says that he gives people “milk” rather than the “meat” of the teachings. What I think that means is that Jesus gave the meat of the teachings to the initiates (Jews) and says This is why I speak to them in parables: 'Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.' The teachings of Jesus were not simple, they’re only simple to those who don’t know the inner teachings. Paul taught the outer teachings to the gentiles (uninitiated). He’s not a villain who corrupted the teachings. He just met people where they were and fed them slowly just like any spiritual tradition

@@AngelLoveKing Yes, very true. I love to sit and look up meanings of names. Biblical names are amazing. My dog is called Rafael. There are many different approaches to finding the meaning of your own name - ways to divine it yourself. You might look at it historically, who had my name? When did it originate? Why? From where? You can look at it culturally and religiously. In the case of Rolf, it really was something like Hrólfr once, and in proto-germanic it was even quite unrecognizable. You can divine the meaning through many other ways; Numerology Astrology Gematria Scrying Channeling or Spirit Communication Tarot or Oracle Cards Runes Kabbalistic Interpretations Online libraries of unsorted name définitions... My point is, even if we are on a bad path in life, unknowingly, we might use the meaning of our name, which we divined subjectively, to gain strength and wind in our sails. That way we make things worse, we venture even further away from God, by gaining certainty through our own interpretations, which is our own wisdom. Which is not from God. We should always seek God's wisdom (the Bible and the Holy Spirit) and not seek signs to convince ourselves of our righteousness.

Dr. Ken Wapnick, in Love Does Not Condemn, connects the historical tension between Gnosticism and the early church to the principles of A Course in Miracles (ACIM), particularly focusing on themes of fear, love, and the illusory nature of the material world. ACIM asserts that the physical world is not real in an ultimate sense. It was not created by God but by the ego as a way to reinforce the illusion of separation from God. This idea aligns with the Course’s central teaching: “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”

Aaron, my introduction to your content was the Law of One series. I’ve been doing my best to learn all I can, about all of it, ever since. I want you to know that I first learned about the gnostic perspective a few months ago. It was thanks to your law of one teachings that I was able to quickly refute Gnosticism all on my own. I thought to myself: “this ideology is rooted in fear, therefore it cannot be true. This ideology is attempting to paint the architect of my reality as something I should hold hatred towards, rather than encouraging me to be grateful to have such a magnificent and complex hologram to explore and interact with over the course of my life.” So thank you, Aaron, for being the best teacher I’ve ever had in my life 🙏

My Grandma always used to send me to Sunday School when I was a young lad and the teacher always had a hard time with me. I'd ask questions like, "Why would God kill his son if he loved him?", "Why would the priest be able to forgive my sins if he sins too?", and "Why did God make dinosaurs and mammoths?" I would never take the stories at face value like I was supposed to. I've always found God away from all the "human" activity. Humans always want to explain away, what seems to me anyways, is what is so obvious. I'm not some damned being until I cry out for forgiveness to a man with a funky shirt and pointy hat. It's not in that man where the forgiveness lies. It's within yourself. Forgiving yourself is very hard to do. You must give it away freely because you're already forgiven. There are alot of ego trips to go on out there in the world. Sometimes we're on one and we don't know. When we catch ourselves on one of these rides, we only need to gently course correct and you will be just fine. The Force will be with you, always.

The reason Jesus had to die is because of the law. He had to fulfill the law so that Israel could be free of the law. God didn't kill his son. 'I abide in him and he in me' Jesus was the earthly vessel that was able to allow God to indwell. Emmanuel. Jesus is God and God is Jesus. It had to be this way order for the divorced woman Israel to be redeemed. When God died, Israel became a widow. She was no longer under the law of her husband. It was then that Israel could be remarried into a new covenant with the risen God, Jesus. I'm sorry you had bead teachers. This is a problem everywhere. I hope this helps answer your first question.

@Theoramma I disagree with the way churches go about teaching children. I don't really think that children who cant understand the answer should be taught the lesson. It should be a progression from the most basic, love God and love thy neighbor, to more advanced understanding that uses scripture. Just because you didn't get an answer in sunday school doesnt mean that the answer is unavailable. We are each responsible for our own study as adults. The text is available anywhere in the world.

Have you ever considered that Paul is actually another name for Apollonius of Tyana - who ALSO was repurposed, redated & renamed, along with anecdotes from 3-4 others from both before & after the time of Jesus, by rabbinical scribes as the Jesus Christ we grew up with & revere? Apollonius was born 2 BC, was the most famous, highly documented healer & spiritual leader of the time attributed to Jesus, AND was renowned for telling his grateful healees that it was their own faith that healed them, not him. Sound familiar? There are NO legitimate contemporaneous writings, reports, memorial coins or paintings acknowledging the existence of the carnal Jesus Christ - & there would have been - until DECADES later. The Passion was an old Greek stage play in 3 acts preformed in an amphitheater LONG before 33 AD. None of this diminishes the spiritual teachings - the red-letter messages - attributed to Jesus. No leftover pagan blood-sacrifice ritual is necessary in our relationship with the Great Spirit. Our salvation is internal, not external. In that sense, the Gnostics get it right! Yahweh was a giant human (Anunna) sociopath POSING as a god to indigenous people...

Framing is everything and this video proves it. God doesn't want to rip your bones out because your a rotten sinner. Nobody teaches that. The reason you say this is due to your framing. You don't believe God's word is forever. That's why you characterize the wrath of God the way you do. God told Adam, "...in the day thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die." Did that mean that Adam would drop over dead? I mean, that's what Adam THOUGHT God meant by that but Eve was convinced that, no, you won't drop dead from eating. The kind of death God was talking about went deeper than a cessation of breathing. Disobedience to a direct commandment deserves punishment. The punishment assigned to this flavor of disobedience was death - a separation from God and His kingdom. When God says something, it MUST be carried out. And so, in order for God's universe to be in fact God's universe, His word had to mean something. Adam died that day. Fast forward to the Gospel of John, which says: John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. "The wrath of God abideth on him." In other words, Adam died and as a result, all his children, from then on, were born dead. God sent Jesus so that there could be a way to satisfy God's judgment, while opening the door to the resurrection of our dead selves. Jesus had to defeat death so that He could be raised from the dead. God's judgment is still in effect. Jesus did not remove that. But the consequential death that is promised to all of us has been defeated. Because of Jesus, we can choose life instead of death. So, it's not an attitude of "God wants to rip your bones out" (or however you characterized it) but that God's word MUST be carried out. God found a way out of the mess. By defeating death, we can die and yet live - through Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. If you believe God's word then you don't wind up with the absurd conclusions touted by this video.

Gnostism isn't just one form. There were many different forms of Gnostism. It was clear to me years before I ever even learned of viewpoints different from what is known as christianity today, let alone "gnostism" that the "god" that was being talked about in the Old Testament was NOT the God I knew, he sounded like the devil to me. He still sounds evil to me.

I see a lot of people in the comments getting caught up in what the word "gnosticism" means. Yes, there were MANY sects of gnostics with varying views. However what Aaron seems to be presenting is how mainstream Christianity views Gnosticism. Many Christians condemn the ideas of duality, the demiurge, and secret knowledge WHILE believing in essentially the same ideas, just worded differently. I think he's speaking in generalities on purpose because he's talking to Christians who dont understand the variety in gnosticsism. Aaron even says there are some good books in the Nag hammadi. He's not attacking all Gnostics, he's attacking the shallow understanding many Christians have.

I really feel like there is much missed in this video. There is much more of a spectrum of Gnosticism not covered here. Aaron may still disagree or have similar points on other gnostic perspectives but I just feel there is a thread about the demiurge that predates Christ from Plato. Neo platonism was more contemporary with early Christianity and I feel like that time period was a melting pot of ideas. I appreciate the simplicity of Aaron’s teachings but I feel like the idea of gnosis is similar to what Aaron is teaching. Trusting our inner knowing of truth. The idea that we are of god and not separate from god feels like gnosis to me. It’s funny because I feel like the devil or the demiurge is a projection of our egos on a larger scale maybe. But ultimately the inner adversary that wants us to believe that we are separate from god and separate from love. Or only a selfish self serving love which is an illusion of love.

From a mystical perspective, Jesus' death on the cross can be seen as a symbolic and metaphysical event, rather than just a historical or theological one. Here are some possible interpretations: 1. *Cosmic reconciliation*: In mystical traditions, Jesus' death on the cross represents the reconciliation of the divine and human realms. By willingly surrendering to the cross, Jesus bridges the gap between the material and spiritual worlds, restoring balance and harmony to the cosmos. 1. *Initiatory sacrifice*: In esoteric Christianity, Jesus' crucifixion is seen as an initiatory sacrifice, where he willingly undergoes a transformative ordeal to demonstrate the path to spiritual enlightenment. This sacrifice represents the ego's surrender to the divine, allowing for the realization of one's true, divine nature. 1. *Alchemical transformation*: Alchemical traditions view Jesus' crucifixion as a symbol of spiritual transformation, where the base metal of human consciousness is transmuted into the gold of divine awareness. The cross represents the intersection of opposites, where Jesus' divine and human natures are united, symbolizing the integration of contradictions within the self. 1. *Mythopoeic narrative*: From a mythopoeic perspective, Jesus' death on the cross represents a universal, archetypal pattern of sacrifice and redemption. This narrative serves as a symbolic reminder of the human condition, where we must confront our own shadow, surrender our ego, and transcend our limitations to realize our true potential. 1. *Gnostic atonement*: In Gnostic traditions, Jesus' crucifixion is seen as a corrective to the flawed, material world created by a false, demiurgic deity. Jesus' sacrifice represents the atonement for the error of separation, restoring the divine spark within humanity and guiding us back to our true, spiritual nature. These mystical interpretations offer alternative perspectives on Jesus' death on the cross, moving beyond the traditional notion of atonement for sins. They invite us to contemplate the deeper, symbolic meanings and spiritual significance of this event.
