I had a 5 or so acer pond across from my house in the country growing up. I asked the property owner if I could fish. The start of my love for Bass fishing. I was the only one who had fished it ever. Bass, Bluegill & a few Channel Cats. I was in love to the point of having to Cancel a class in college. It lasted for 3 years & then the winter of 77 & 78 came. It was only 10 or 12 feet deep. Next spring ice out was a bad sight. 2-5 pounders all along the shoreline. All gone.
