In front of my home where I live is a 72 acre lake, a semi-pro bass fisherman bought it drained and restocked it with Florida bass crappie brim and tilapia… it’s nothing to go out on this lake and catch 8-10’ s back to back.. I’ve fished this lake all my life I’m 52 years old, and a new man bought and shut down all fishing… NOBODY fishes it now… It was the first lake I ever fished.. I have pictures over the years of 10’s and 12’s but no more…now this is a stocked lake and well fed fish and so it’s easy to catch these… but this guy in this video is catching fish we only dream of catching, people go a lifetime and never catch a fish like this… great job and video!!!! I caught the biggest fish(possibly bass[largemouth]) of my entire life yesterday when fishing 🎣 with my brothers, I was fishing in my village’s pond and all the sudden the rod is super weighted more waited than usual (and I don’t use a weight on my line) and as I try to pull it out thinking it’s jus debris or the water making it heavy I found out it’s unusually even heavier than even THAT, and this thing I’m telling ye it won’t “put up without a fight” and I even hav to get my brother to help me pull it (yet ima PRO fishermen, but this was cuz it was super heavy) and once I do FINALLY reel the line outta the water I look at the line and I c the lure and hook 🪝 Is gone and if that was a bass it was prolly the most massive bass I’ve ever caught in my literal entire life, I had prolly play basically tug-o-war with that fish for about half an hour 🎣, cuz if that was a fish it was massive(very super massive) and ate my lure and hook 🪝 🎣

I tried for 25 years to catch a largemouth over 10 - but one day I fished a small pond in a private game reserve. Then I caught two in a single day, one in the morning around 11AM and the next in the evening. Both registered over 5kgs but I don't know how much they weighed exactly as my only weighing instrument was a landing net designed for trout which went up to 5kg. I realize my mistake all those years was fishing for largemouth with smallmouth tactics, so while I caught plenty of fish, they were all under 5 pounds. The trick is to use large profile baits for sure. Well done! Love to fish those waters :)

There’s a pond I know that has a 17+ lb bass in it and I’ve caught it one time and weighed it and hooked several other times unsuccessfully. it’s grown since tho, it’s a few acres away from a stream that supplies it with plenty of creek Chubs and minnows, I’m sure it eats ducks and stuff too, that initial hit when you’re abt to hook a fish the size of a medium sized dog, last time I hooked it I was using a small popper and catching some small bass then it just slammed it and broke the line immediately by tension, I retrieved the popper from the side of the pond a week later with the hooks broken off of it. It’s infested with shad that eat the grass bottom of it and there’s just one big bass and it’s probably 15 2-4lb babies and a few hundred bream so the bass eat like kings
