The large steering wheel helped when the car wasn't equipped with power steering! Same steering wheel used in the models below Impala, like Biscayne, Del Ray, could be really basic, with six cylinder and manual steering and brakes. Some had manual transmission as well. Love the '58 Chevrolet, one year only body style.

The steering wheel, is not original. It is a 1959 wheel. The '58 wheel, had a 360 degree horn ring; '59's did not. CHEERS! AL Z.
