My courses are like gateway courses .... they teach you how to think like a programmer and they give you a good understanding. Kinda like learning the foundations of music. Once you know cords, notes, time etc .... you can play any song and learn any instrument quickly. That's what you will get with my Python course.

@@pkrockin3923 Because you kinda need to understand the programming language and become fluent in it which may take months, years. It’s not like other freelance gigs which you can learn in a week

@@edboss36 thats odd. Ive always found front end dev more difficult (im talking about front end js stuff like react) since you have to learn a lot of convoluted hipster js libraries and tools which really is nothing more than overengineering. On the other hand I prefer working on the back end doing APIs and things like that since it feels more like programming unlike front end where you do a lot of 'gluing' code.

Finally at a point in my career where I believe I can handle freelancing on the side. I’m an experienced web developer (JS, Node, Lit) and have recently moved to the iOS team at my company (large fintech company). I’ve been working remotely now for 3 years as a developer. I’m going to start by building up my online presence, portfolio, taking care of any legal stuff that is required, and building some templates I can work with on projects. I want to eventually offer web development services (sites, e-commerce, etc) and iOS apps.

@SacredPhysiques

Jan Schejbal You advertise as the professional you are. In the dev community, even Twitter has more power than LinkedIn... Test it out for yourself bro. However, those of us who are young and gunning for freelance.. Instagram and Twitter are going to be best due to the dev communities. on those platforms. Marketing yourself comes down to your creativity, however, on Instagram, you’ll meet that comic book artist, that singer, that choreographer.. your demographic is far more widespread.
