A Renault Twizy As A Daily Driver???

I have a week to prove to my wife that the Twizy can be the perfect replacement for the Mini to partner our Tesla Model 3.

Brilliant video. Very funny but a great review of the cars abilitys at the same time. As an hgv driver the trucks overtaking you and you failing to keep up was hysterically funny. Also really enjoyed seeing the whole family involved in a video.

Absolutely! With our busy modern lifestyles, most of us don't have the time to handwash our cars at home. A prerequisite for any car we have is how it copes with a carwash. Often there are little tips that can help with this task, as sometimes there can be problems with the automatic front wipers, or the rear wiper blade. I'm sure the "hermetically sealed" [quote] interior will be fine 😉. All those potential Twizzy owners need to see a carwash video - you owe it to them as an influential EV journalist

Just a question of speed here. The wind deflectors around the mirrors do quite a good job of keeping water droplets out as long as the little jumper is moving. But the best feature is its pressure washer proof interior, you can just blast everything clean.

I would get rid of the Twizzy, it's extraordinarily expensive if you think about it. It'll end up costing half a house, half a Tesla & half of every other asset you own 😋. Maybe meet in the middle with an electric mini.

Trade your Mini in for an electric Mini and sell the Twizzy! It has more range, space and comfort. As a Renault fan, (having owned seven of them, R5,8,10,12 wagon and three R16s), I can't wait to see the electric R5. Too bad it won't be sold here in the US though.

My everyday car since 2012. I sold my combustion engine and bought two Twizys, one for my wife and one for me. Both Twizys now have around 90000 km on the clock!

I have the same problem when I put solar panels on my roof, we decided to start less polluting. So we bought a Hyundai Kona 64 for my wife and the long journey and a Twizy for me and for the short grocery. In fact we realised that it was a great economical solution because our fuel budget was definitely lighter than ever and we saved a lot of money.

Twizzy Tips- Lean forward for bumps. Keep sunglasses in the Twizzy. Install OVMS for greater fun and to avoid being over taken by trucks. Man up. (Apparently) Don't let the wife reverse in car parks. Ps. I can't understand why you're using a Tesla to drive a short distance to work, people should be getting an electric car to suit the daily commute, not for that twice a year holiday {scratches head} you want to save money, this is how you do it. PPS. Our 2nd car is a Twizzy.

A really entertaining and informative review. However, might have benefitted from some suggestions about how a micro EV might be practical, as there will almost certainly be a place for such a vehicle alongside the current trend for large SUV type EVs. I would suggest a BIG boot and a better range. Plus real windows !!!!!!

I would keep the Twizy. Get rid of the Tesla and Mini. And buy an old Honda or Toyota for when u want reliable, long distance family transport. Enjoyed the video : )
