What about if dont have any source of humidity ..no bathroom , no dryer

Basements can be damp because rainwater is getting in through the walls or windows, and they can be naturally damp in humid climates because moisture condenses on cold surfaces (i.e. how the outside of a glass gets wet when you fill it with ice water). So moisture can build up in a basement, particularly in summer, even if you don't have a bathroom or dryer installed downstairs.

Dont know if it was know then, but concrete dust is carcinogen, so please add a dust mask when doing concrete repairs!
