A Resilience Engineering look at Tradeoffs

Tradeoffs are a commonplace thing, but how you think about them can change how you address them, outmaneuver them, and change them. However, you can never eliminate them! David Woods shows the visual technique that we used (borrowed from John Doyle) that helps us communicate what a tradeoff, and a tradespace, really is, and provides insights into how to design new solutions that address the multi-dimensional tradespace of the current system.
