My late husband was a quadriplegic due to a MVA before we met. He was my first love, my true love, my absolute soul mate. We started dating in the 70's, before curb cuts, before parking permits, before much of anything was available for especially a young person in a wheelchair. Or anyone who is disabled. We were treated terribly by some people. I hang onto those who were good to us and loved us unconditionally. He was an amazing human being. A true example of a decent caring person. I miss him everyday still. He passed away 15yrs ago. See people for who they are, not what they can or cannot do. It's ok to be uncomfortable. It's not ok to be mean and ignorant.

I'm ashamed to admit, when I first found your KZbin channel my first thoughts were.. why would she want to be with someone in a wheelchair, she's so pretty that she could get any guy she wanted.. blah blah blah. Since watching your videos, for over a year now, I enjoy your humor and bringing awareness to disability and relationships, but really i just love you guys as a couple!. You completely opened my mind to a new world and I'm so thankful for that. You have changed the way I view disabilities and relationships. I see it differently! On a fundamental level , humans are like most other animals. The things we find attractive & ultimately make us feel “love” are biologically driven for the purpose of procreation! So when we see a couple like this, (far outside the norm) some people question its legitimacy & motivation! The entire channel is built around the fascination of such an unlikely pair. The fact that some people are rude & say offensive things, is quite predictable and doesn’t mean humanity is horrible! It simply shows that those as individuals are emotionally stunted and it makes them uncomfortable. Are they irredeemable a$$h0les? 🤷🏻 Probably!

They are just virtue signaling & get off at feeling morally superior, but that probably stems from their own insecurities. I am sure she loves him & Vice Versa. It’s her life and her choice. But the truth is that she is young, beautiful, and has an attractive personality. Meaning she could have had any guy she wanted. He on the other hand, is extremely limited as far as his romantic options. And when people notice or question this large power imbalance, they get attacked as horrible people. Bottom line is that this couple puts their lives on the internet for attention and money. Good for them. I hope they are happy and I hope medical advances allow him a long life. But condemning humanity because there’s assholes in YT comment sections is just as small minded as they are claiming others are.

Me too!! My blood pressure goes up with every mean comment about them. We should all be looking to them to see what marriage is. Unconditional love. I'm trying to learn that there are people, whose lives are so pathetic, that love to criticize anything good. Instead of spending their time complaining on KZbin, maybe they could use their endless free time to better their own community. Thank you for being patient and giving grace to those who ask such invasive questions. There's alwayssss gonna be hecklers in the crowd because some people exist to raise hell. But mostly, I'd guess the questions are asked by genuinely curious people who may or may not be tactful communicators. I appreciate that you two put yourself out there. I have been watching for a very very long time now and I Love you both so much, people please know that Shane and Hannah are definitely a real couple who are very in love with each other, they're just putting out great content, as well as making people aware of Accessability, of disability. My husband is blind, we got very similar opinions too, they cant beleive/ accept that true love can be exist between disabled and not disabled people, we were fighting, we have been never give up and here we are after almost 10years now, we are married, house owners and have our biggest miracle, our little son, he will be 2 in June, you guys are so positive, explain things that cant have to be explained in a world where people are able to accept and love each othet …feelings, real true love…and make funny moments from all of these stupid and heartless comments, our experience is: this is the best you can do
