Does a more advanced set-up always mean better results when it comes to astrophotography? Let's discuss this with one of my favorite targets... Thor's Helmet!

Inspiring journey there Dave! So impressed by your work. Also a target I’d like to shoot.

Nice shot Dave! I like how you include the single subs from your target, really helps me set my expectations when I try to image the same target. And I recommend a NAS for your home so you don't ever have to delete your old files?

Thanks Mike! Excuse me while I go Google NAS 😂

Thanks for a great comparison video. What was the total integration time with the most recent image?
@keystothecosmos75272 жыл бұрын
Just about 5 hours

@@keystothecosmos7527 Thanks. I'm in the GTA area as well, and with this weather all the great winter targets are slowly but surely moving out of field of view unfortunately :(. Do you have plans on capturing some of the galaxy targets this season?
@keystothecosmos75272 жыл бұрын
@@Loopy01 Yeah it's been brutal. The only galaxy I've completed is M51. I've started on M51 but it needs more time

Total integration is more important. Nothing to debate there. Exposure with broadband color camera should be lesser than 1 minutes from Toronto bortle 7-9 skies; lesser than 4-5 min with 5nm narrowband Look videos by SharpCap’s Robert Glover. Difference between pictures is mount and your 3-year long experience, rest is not essential.
