The 13s need a true "remastering." They've been essentially the same since 2010. The 2020 release seems more of a retro of the 2005 version, rather than the OG's.

I had the 98 an the 2005 but the 2005 had that red glue an it used to bleed on your shoes when u cleaned them but I got the 2020 flints this my favorite color way in the 13s hands down

I have been waiting for this video for a few weeks now and waiting for these shoes again since 2008. I couldn’t get the 98, threw away my 05, passed on the 10 and got them for my son instead. Great comparison (as always!) One small difference I noticed is the difference where the white and gray meet on the lateral side above the midsole.. Some appear to curve more and be more rounded, whereas the 2020 seems to be a flater curve.

I own the 2010 pair and I actually love the leather quality. They've held up after all these years. Same goes for my 2010 playoff and Chicago 13's. Unfortunately my 2010 altitude have paint bubbling issues towards the bottom, a quick fix though.

I’ll admit the shape has always bugged me on 13’s. At least the newer ones. But I remember it being such a prominent sneaker when I was moving from SB’s and expanding to other shoes it was one of the first retro models I started copping. I waited in line for playoffs in high school. I’m so pumped I got a raffle win on these

From my experience the plastic on the hologram actually makes it fog up more over time. I had 3 pairs of 97/98 J13s, 2 of them had plastic still on holograms and were noticeably more fogged up then the 1 without. For storage purposes now I start removing them

Hit them lightly with a hair dryer. Clears it right up.

When you keep the plastic on the holigram it helps it not to fog up and you also got to keep it in a cool place

I prefer the lighter shade of grey on the upper instead of the new flint's darker shade of grey. I also like the lighter shade of blue (french blue) for the upper. You have a nice collection of flints though daaamn. Have you gotten any closer to giving us a comparison review on the new white fire red 5's??

People keep shittin on the 2020 retro models cuz they have the older models even tho they've begun makin the 2020 remastering releases to look more like the OG cuts than the previous years smh FUNNY. Unless yall want JB to start chargin $225-$250 cut it out with the genuine leather crap. Yall know what yall gonna get if it's non premium. Using a blow dryer on the hologram will clear it up but it will fog back up after awhile.

The best colours are on 2010, especially this blue colour - very nice and a bit different than any other blue/navy shade. The worst blue colour is on 2020 - is more into violet than french blue/navy Anyway I've got the 2020 Flints and they're one of my favourite shoes, very comfortable, good looking on the foot and so different from the others sneakers so everytime I wear them I hear a complement about them;) Thanks for great video and all the best in 23! 🖖

I like the 1997 color best and second best is the 2020 pair and 3 I would pick the 05 version the 2010 I like the least. I do like the all of them but imo that how the order goes. I had the 2010 pair but sold it a year ago before I knew they would come out in 2020 but these I am keeping first of because of the 3m and secondly because of the color reminds me more of the OG

I think they have really shit the bed on 13 retros. The OG has absolutely no comparison in this case. The color hasn’t been matched. The shape hasn’t been matched. The materials haven’t been matched. My biggest pet peeve is tongue height on the 13 retros.

Yeah man I agree for some reason I get crooked and uneven tongues on all my 13s since 2010. Playoffs are the only ones that fit right. The huge toe boxes, why's it so hard for Nike to get the colors right. And it's not just on Jordan's either.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve alway been someone that likes new over "OG". I like improvements like I don’t want a 2010 Corvette (OG) I rather have the 2021 C8 Corvette. I picked up the 2020 MJ’s and I like it.

can't wear the *OGs* even if i had them anyways, so i'm excluding those. the *2010s* are what really started my collection but, i've always wanted the *2005s* since high school when i was broke and couldn't afford them and other jays that i wanted. for me the ranking would be: ( *OGs* excluded but _appreciated_ ) *1st 2005s* (i prefer it's shape the most) *2nd 2010s* (i'm one of those who prefer synthetic/tumbled leather; little to no creases at all. i don't care about 3M honestly, i'm not _wearing_ the 3M in a literal sense, i'd rather more *comfort* ) *last place 2020s* (even though the colors on these are closer to the *OGs* that's the _only_ reason why i would buy them but i wouldn't buy these over the 2010s in terms of comfort) in conclusion, after seeing the vid. i'm no longer doubling up on this year's release, one will suffice. i'm gonna see if i can hunt down a new *2005* in my sz and relive a bit of nostalgia.
