Christmas is simply a magical time of the year. I will never forget my childhood summertime beach Christmases in South Africa. Very basic decorations, but wonderful food and lots of time with family.

Mary - First time I've seen a red and green Thanksgiving tablescape-plus with two different tartans--which looks lovely. Noted that you included two napkins which reminded me of the advice I received when purchasing our dining room carpet years ago to include a napkin for the lap and a napkin for the hands. @@janiceminuto1707 Yes-I’m so glad. Many people save red and green just for Christmas, but as I’ve learned from Scot Meacham Wood (and Ralph Lauren), they are great anytime…earthy browns, golden harvests, crimson reds, leafy greens, navy and warm oranges; let them all play together! 😁

The roses are always a nice touch and I love them. Your table is beautiful but expect nothing less from you. I love the horn of plenty with the candle attachment (or bulls horn?). I liked the two napkins at each place setting - I am thinking for my family, one for their lap and one for their hands. Next week ~ ❤

Thank you, I love that horn as well. It came from a prize-winning ram raised in Scotland. The silver cap is engraved with the farmer's name and dated "1627". It is one of my favorite anniversary gifts from Daniel.

My daughter does a great job helping. I remember the first time I saw her hand washing the fine china and rinsing the other dishes to place in the dishwasher. I was sad, but very proud. She was not a little girl anymore. She had become a thoughtful young lady.

Ok wow! And I am commenting on those turkey plates. L O L the roses just are absolutely gorgeous but there’s something about turkeys that I love love love. I’m planning someday to have some pet turkeys walking around this property. So can you tell me where you got these turkey plates I’m seeing? Is it from William Sonoma by chance? Love Christmas so much. It excites me to the core to see reds and greens golden silvers ribbon, candles, crystal silver, all mixed together. It’s so grand. So many of the young generation don’t appreciate it and therefore when I go look for pieces for collections that I have or decorations for my table I can get them for pennies and I’m talking about silverware, platters, crystal candlesticks, etc. because nobody wants them. Love your channel love your content. Can’t wait to see what you’re bringing from Fortnum and mason one of my all-time favorite companies. You have a very exciting channel as far as I’m concerned.

@ omg I don’t know why I thought those plates came from William Sonoma other than they have the most exquisite pieces there one time while vacationing/wedding event in Destin Florida I had the opportunity to visit Williams Sonoma store. I found a beautiful white teapot (on clearance). Plain. Nothing fancy but the quality stood out to me. Like your turkey plates Beauty in the eye of the beholder. And that eye is mine!!! lol.

I'm so glad you received the book. It's 400 pages of pure eye candy! I wonder if Christmas at Biltmore will suffer due to the hurricane's devastation in that area. I think it just reopened, but the "Villages at Biltmore" and other low-lying areas are still recovering.

Can the roses be transferred to a vase or another type of container? Thanks.

Because most of the stem has been cut from the flower, it’s very difficult to transfer them out of their original boxes. I have been able to place them in decorative vessels or cachepots that hide the container. I even wrapped one box with paper and tied a ribbon around it.
