Yes, it’s hard to watch the devastation in Ashville. Thanks for the link. I have a collection of fostoria American which started as a wedding gift to my parents. People dismiss clear glass so often and it’s nice to see it featured. And it’s affordable.

Dear Mary, I am glad you are safe. I am in Canada and it has brought tears to my eyes just what I have seen on tv. The lives that have been affected and uprooted, losing everything and maybe even a loved one. I am thinking of them all. ❤ This book today was of course another gem. I not only enjoy the beauty of the book but the story that always comes with it. It is so interesting to know about their lives and how they got to where they are today. I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed last weeks video when you featured the chef's book. I found the video so much fun. That boy was a hero. You made me weep. We have a place in West Jefferson and the family is up there this weekend. I stay here with the animals. God bless all the people up there. They have no water or electricity. Can you imagine?

I must admit that I wish Timothy was my ultra successful younger brother who I visited for 2 weeks every year. That would be a dream come true! I do have a tough time with all those ancestors in the foyer. Hahaha 😂

Hello Mary, thank you for another wonderful video. I have seen a tour of this beautiful chateau and I’m looking forward to reading his book. I love the quote from Hemingway . Your turtle story with the young man saving him ,touched my heart and I will share it with my family. As I did a similar rescue on quite a busy road while I asked the delivery truck behind me to stop….so he wouldn’t hit me as I ran out to save a turtle . I was lectured on the risks I took . These little acts of kindness are what I believe make the world a better place. Which leads me to thanking you for speaking about Asheville. My dearest friend since kindergarten lives there alone . A widow . She has Alzheimer’s and just finished treatment for breast cancer. Her sisters live on the west coast and upstate NY. They cant get there, they can’t call her. But a neighbor was able to get word to them that she is safe and with them. I am so grateful. I believe like you that highlighting these stories of kind acts are important to share. Earlier today I was telling a friend that a room can feel balanced and harmonious with a wide range of color, and Corrigan is a master of accomplishing that in his interiors. A room might have a basic color scheme, but then he introduces other colors via textiles, wood finishes, and objects. The more stuff, the better this approach works. And I love stuff. I find it so satisfying when you take us along on your exploration of shops. It's much more dangerous to do it for real. Thanks!

Thx for another wonderful video. First, how nice that you mentioned the countless victims of Hurricane Helene. My heart aches for all. I live on the west coast of Florida. Thankfully, no serious damage at my home. However, I have dear friends whose homes have to be completely demolished because there is so little left of them. The homes of other friends were flooded and many prized possessions were lost. Of course, the most horrific losses are the many lives taken. Now we are already facing one and possibly two additional storms! I hope it is ok for me to mention another outstanding charity which is “Samaritan’s Purse”. Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, is the organization’s president. This highly respected charity has a 100%, 4 star rating (4 being the highest rating possible). I enjoyed the beautiful book review and the walk among the gorgeous antiques. What did you buy? I saw several things I liked. I am looking forward to seeing your next video.

Out here in the desert southwest, we have little fences, only about a foot tall, to prevent the desert tortoises from trying to cross the roads/highways. We were BAFFLED by those little fences until we found out about the tortoises! Thanks for sharing the turtle story - made my night!!

Thank you Mary, this was a wonderful book, Timothy Corrigan’s apartment and Chateau are both elegant but inviting. I’m glad you didn’t have storm damage, our community is organizing an outreach to families that lost their homes and we are planning to send our first transport to two small towns in the area within the next few days. I knew that was Hunt and Gather, I watch their videos over and over, the sideboards, chairs, lamps and those antique tea caddies are beautiful.

Mary, It was great seeing the unsurpassed beauty of the restoration and redecoration of Timothy Corrigan (An American in Paris, now French country Chateau Chatelain) latest project. I am glad to see you did not have damage like the western Carolinas did. My heart goes out to friends and old neighbors in and around Highlands where we had a home. We are grateful that we only sustained 6 days of power outage, and a downed tree, here at my home on the Georgia coast from the wind effects of Hurricane Helene. It truly breaks my heart to see and hear of the complete devastation of your NC and other states FL, my own GA, SC, TN due to this largest National catastrophic event to date. Your recollection of the young man taking action through his generosity of kindness in spirit to help the turtle cross the busy highway, is a sweet gentle reminder for each of us to be sure to show each other and animals kindness every day in large and small ways to make our world a better place in which to bloom! Hi Mary, After watching your book review and Quintessence’s video, I am a big Timothy Corrigan fan! The Chateau is decorated with such warmth considering its immense size! He is very gifted and personable! I also stand with you in giving money to help the hurricane Helene families. I watch youtube and it is devastating to see. They are hurting after much loss. On a positive note, turtles stories, your cats and antique shopping are nice to enjoy. When you were holding up price tags, you picked items that are interesting to me also. “If money were no object” 😂 I would suggest a trip to ALL your favorite antiques stores with a bunch of girlfriends! What fun!

An excellent outstandingly beautiful French chateau owned and decorated by one of the top American interior designer Mr. Timothy Corrigan. Thank so much for sharing your lovely historical colonial manor in Wilmington, North Carolina as well as sharing the kindness and respect for this God given country where good people still exist. Note: What is the residential and historical neighborhood of Wilmington called. I am trying to convince mother that in the near future it would be best to move down from New Jersey with high taxes, congestion, densely populated to Wilmington, North Carolina and have a Center Hall Colonial home with an elevator for ease for her. More property, lovely manor with gardens her passion, lower taxes and a benigne winter. Thanks again for everything. She is enjoying your videos with me.

I said Maxfield Parrish was my inspiration for the Sherwin Williams Soar and the Cotton Candy Pink walls for a 15’ high great room, and then I looked at the paintings I did with the kit you sent to me for flow painting last year, and that was the subconscious inspiration! My word, I am laughing.

My daughter ( 1965-2021 )lived between the states & Paris I was so excited at the thought of maybe one day having the chance to see my lifetime dream of visiting & exploring Paris together, of staying at her pied-a Terre we didn’t get the opportunity but we will celebrate again one day
