Hickory Run was our first camping trip during Covid. Our daughter had just bought her first camper and we helped her and her husband learn the routine of hooking up and setting up. I don’t remember which loop we stayed in, but we were under the trees. We loved hiking there and going to see the river of rocks. Great review!

I have never heard of campgrounds that have different loops for pet owners. Nice big sites. I never heard of that hoagie story. Cool. Huge welcome center. Classroom? Interesting. Huge parking lot too. I’ve never seen so many dump stations. That’s a store store. Lots of stuff. Beautiful lake. Like the hike. I love anything with water. A mile hike I can do. That’s a sad story about the flood. I love old buildings too. Cool old church. Another beautiful lake. A field of rocks? Looked delicious. Wow. That’s a lot of acreage. A lot of good info. Thanks. Alice.

in 2018 I did the boulder field ultra, I did the 50k and got to see 31 miles of this park on foot in one day. however, I only really paid attention to what was underfoot, as the trails were very rugged. Now I want to go back and explore at a more leisurely pace and really take it all in. Your video was very helpful getting me reoriented to the place.

@@BikesBoatsBivouacs my pleasure. I actually did a run today in the park and on my way out spotted a bear close to the new visitor's center. He was cute, with big ears. but I am glad I was in my car and not on the trail. although I accept that as a risk.

Hey Scott, you included a lot of cool stuff in this video, Alice and I watched together and thought we should include more information in our campground videos like this. We have not learned to narate on the fly like you do yet, it’s taking us a while to get as comfortable in front of the camera. Alice wants to go here, maybe on our way back to Florida from Canada in the fall. Larry
