Since it's a silicon based product, is it safe to use oil lubricant or will it damage the rockpods over time?

Hi, I'm thinking of buying these predominantly for use around the areas everywhere around the knees. I'm a 45 year old man and have some amount of leg hair....not particularly that much, but I'm wondering if it will prevent the cups from sucking....do you have any experience with this situation? Hair shouldn't really affect anything- you should be good to go.
