Marie Flanigan is an interior designer whose signature style soulfully reveals the beauty of home. Raised in small town, Marie embraces the values of family, community, and hospitality. These core elements are reflected in Marie’s thoughtful consideration of her clients’ needs and are manifested in her authentic, approachable designs. Inspired by the healing power of beautiful spaces, Marie studied architecture, learning the rules and tools to expertly craft built environments. After working for several years as an architect, she journeyed into interior design out of a desire to work holistically on the spaces that affect us most profoundly. Based in Houston, Marie Flanigan Interiors creates well-articulated homes nationwide.
Marie lives in a restored bungalow with her husband and three young children. Like her family, Marie’s love of design continues to grow, recently evolving into product development. She is currently dreaming up textile and lighting collections with some of the industry’s best manufacturers
The Beauty of Home combines refined elegance and innovative simplicity for a fresh, new perspective on traditional interior design.
Magic doesn’t necessarily follow a formula, but perhaps it does have a framework. Marie Flanigan’s interiors are timeless and soulful―immediately recognizable, yet also reflective of her clients’ individual stories. Dive deeper into the nine elements that define her work, including architecture, illumination, composition, and surprise. Peek behind the curtain as Marie reveals her creative process and the essential elements for curating her signature blend of approachable elegance. Uniting poetry with purpose, this book uncovers the true beauty of home

When I was a child, I looked at the shell of buildings from the inside and wondered how the residents would set themselves up. To this day I roam through residential areas and look at houses. I love architecture, interior design, history... and beauty. Thank you for your lovely, inspiring book reviews.

Marie Flanagan... Architect... turned.. Designer...turned.. ARTIST.... Not only do her muted rooms give us a sense of Serenity and Calm Balance..but they are a work of art in and of themselves... Adhering to Classic Techniques will eventually lead to the... Beauty of anyone's Home.... ❤️😎👍😉

The Southern Homes===how beautiful were the ones you filmed. There's nothing like them. All the modern things, etc., don't hold a candle to these absolutely wonderful places like both my grandmothers enjoyed being part of. Thank you for loving them, too.

Thank you so much for your beautiful reviews of these gorgeous books....I can't tell you how many I have had of them over the years only to donate them to my library. I was making room for more...only to realize you should never give up your books! You can get lost in them for hours. Blue and White on Amazon here I come....Maybe I should donate my cookbooks now? I enjoy your channel so much. As a child of 9 or 10 I too loved beautiful traditional decor and architecture and it continues until this day! I know exactly how you felt as a child. Have a beautiful day and I look forward to your next book. Eric Ross is another talented decorator.

Loved This Video! I love the combination of the chunky unvarnished wood mixed with elegant and clean lined furniture pieces! It is natural, aged, yet fresh & new! I love the historic neighborhood! I would like to add this book to my collection as I love the basic neutral color palette best! It's easier to work with: simple changes can make the biggest difference, and easier for me to live with! Thank You!

Lovely review... though this color palette is not for me, this is a Beautiful book with delightful details that tantalize the charm this designer has to offer her clients. My absolute Favorite, is the tour of Magnificent Statley Homes at the end of this book review...BE STILL MY HEART, pretty much sums up my thoughts on these!!! Still loving your content, and look forward to you next review, Enduring Elegant Homes, by Eric Ross. He's one of my favorite...
