To use the parking mode feature in this and other dashcams, you need to purchase a special external power supply that allows the DVR camera to operate on a separate power source when the ignition is off. Without this setup, the parking mode won’t work on any camera, as none of the dozens I’ve tested so far can sustain power for more than a few seconds after the car is turned off.
