Thanks to Mitenolet on Reddit, I got hold of a Vortex Cypher with Cherry MX Silvers to review.
In general, it feels like a really solid board, and if anything what lets this board down is the switches themselves. The stock switches sound scratchy and ping with the springs inside, though if you were to get inside and lube both the springs and stems, I think it would be much better.
The stock caps are a good thickness but not overly thick, and create a pleasant sound, though for me, I would probably o-ring my caps like I normally do.
The split space isn't really necessary for me, but if you have the need or want for that, and layer switching, then this nifty 65% will probably fill a lot of those criteria.
To celebrate our 2000 subscriber milestone, we have two awesome CozCaps to giveaway courtesy of CozCaps and JollyGreenGiant on Reddit.
There is actually 2 competitions being run separately, so you have a chance to win both keycaps!
One is a Game of Luck, simply a Gleam driven competition, here: gleam.io/voLAn/the-board-podc...
One is a Game of Skill.
The game of skill involves checking out this post at TypeHype, and putting down your best Horror Story with a Keyboard Twist!
You can find the thread here: typehype.net/threads/giveaway...
Both competitions will end at the same time which is the 28th September 2018, so there is plenty of time to get involved.
We're also celebrating our 2 year anniversary for the Podcast itself, so don't forget to get involved in that giveaway for one of two macropads! You can find that link here: gleam.io/VBkuD/the-board-2-ye...
Good Luck to you all, and I look forward to reading some great stories!
