A Ride to the Seaside on the Fat Bike

A ride to Arnside on my Fat Bike, a Felt Double Double 30. Very cold...but so good to be back on 2 wheels after such a long time. Riding a Fat Bike makes you feel 14 again...you can't help smiling!!

I was obsessed with riding bikes in 2016/17/18 riding in excess of 6000 miles each of those years! Walking the fells had taken a back seat 🤔. The last 13 months has taught me lots of things... being a more rounded person is just one of them! Hopefully the weather is going to change for the better and I'll be able to get out on the bikes a bit 🤔 My balance has been iffy until last week or so. But this short ride felt great... other than the cold 🥶! Filming a bike ride is more difficult than a walk ... @@WainwrightWalksWiaLocalLad ah thank you Alistair,, 6000 miles a year is quite a feat! We typically hike 1500 miles a year so your cycling on top of all your walking is incredible! Our friend Phil from Photography By Phil used run a channel called Bike Drone Explore, some of his earlier videos have a lit of cycling featured in them, although I don’t recall him ever dropping the camera off, cycling up a road to cycle back down it, those were great shots but boy you worked for each one! Plus all the getting off and on your bikes! Great stuff. 👍🚴

Every time I get on the Fat Bike it just makes me feel 15 again! Hard work on the road but great fun off it. Although it'll be a while before I venture off tarmac I think 🤔 Ebikes are crazy money Alan!😲... I was looking at some the other week £2000 more than I paid for my KTM 1190!😲... although no doubt less thirsty! I'm very lucky the estuary is only 3 miles away as the crow flies 👌 The Fat Bike isn't the fastest mode of transport, but it always puts a smile on my face 😁...
