Kristina is the only one that writes BR resources, she’s currently working on level 6 and volume 2 of ROV was just completed. It will take some time for volume 3. Just wanted to mention that in case you were looking for it relatively soon. Hope that helps!

Thank you for this. We are actually planning a pretty heavy American history this fall, but I think it would be better for us to start with volume 1 and then come to volume 2. I want both right now but will definitely be overwhelmed if I do it that way!

Does this curriculum include a balanced smapshot of this time in history? (meaning does it touch on art, culture, food, fashion, invention, innovation, etc). One issue I have with so many history curriculums is the focus on war/violence/hardship at the expense of all the other aspects of histpry.

You can view the sample link above to get a feel of how it flows. It is chronological in its coverage of events, but balanced. You’ll notice the approach and areas covered will depend on the avenue you take, you are given opportunities to dive into different cultural elements as it relates, that includes art, fashion, food, music and more. However, if you opt for minimalist track from week to week, you may miss the rabbit trails or more in-depth look, if you opt for minimalist each time. In essence you are in control with each lesson. Some lessons are heavier than others, that can’t be avoided, but throughout the year, you are exploring history in all its form.
