Lovely video! But I am sorry to inform you that you completely missed the Bigorski Monastery. The church that you filmed is not the Bigorski Monastery. The Bigorski Monastery is open for visitors, not under construction, as the last phase of extensions happened in the beginning of the 19th century. It is on a completely different location, overlooking a valley, not a lake. I hope you will see it another time as it is beautiful.

Did you hire a private taxi from skopje to Ohrid?

I actually found some lovely fellow travellers and shared a ride with them 😊 A car hire would be my other option followed by the taxi ride

I see. Today is our last day in Skopje. We took the bus to ohrid but we came back via a private taxi and followed your itinerary. Your videos were very helpful. Also, just like you, we also fell in love with Macedonia. The food, the culture, lake ohrid, everything is as beautiful as you shared in your videos.
