She was blacklisted by the radio stations and despite that she's still been very successful, so it's safe to say that country music fans want her kind of music. Country gets a bad rep these days because, ever since 9/11, it's all been very shallow, patriotic, and mostly meaningless music that rises to the top. The thing is, country music used to be very progressive, rebellious, and accepting of everyone. Hopefully country will go back to that over the next decade. Kacey should've been the voice of country for the 2010's and, had she been, we would've seen a new wave of country.

They tried to make it work but couldnt, Golden Hour was an album about how truly happy she was in her marriage and how it was going great but Star Crossed is about them falling apart and the struggle that they just couldnt fix.
