If you are looking to free up some time for game play, focus on plants that sell at a higher cost per item (bird of paradise for instance) instead of growing lots of the lower price plants (like mushrooms and sage). You'll have fewer plants to tend to, but still make a lot of money, especially once they're evolved. Then you can plant some "fun" larger crops and still have time to care for your animals without spending all day farming. My sim made SO much money selling bird of paradises and chrysanthemums. A cute/fun idea could be like maybe later on in the story/plot the king and queen host a masquerade ball 👀so we could see lavender all dressed up with maybe Archer bringing her a stunning gown, or her fairy god mother do some magic . Could be fun with some dramatic plot to get into the castle 100% am in love with this game and the whole story you built girl!

Hey kelsey just to let u know the llama and cow won't eat when they're inside because they're food isn't inside, it's outside. That's why they're always unhappy, you have to call them out ( preferably in the morning) so they can eat.

I wish we could move archer in as a roommate!! Like maybe he gets in an argument with his dad and gets cut off from money and has nowhere to stay for a while. So lavender lets him sleep on the couch if he helps her around the farm. Then they start to like each other🥰 maybe even archers sister comes to visit because she hears he got kicked out. Then when archer is back in good standing with his dad, he's already in love with lavender and wants to marry her and they both take on the throne✨

I haven't watched this episode yet so maybe gardening gets easier for you, but just thought I'd mention: I think you only have one rabbit helping you right now. Getting multiple would help with the weeding (same with birds dealing with bugs). Golden chickens can also help evolve plants for you. (Also, golden chicken eggs just sell for a lot)

Yeah, the birds are the biggest help. The vacuum makes short work of the weeds but you spray and spray and spray for bugs.

Befriending the birds and putting their home on your property helps SO MUCH with gardening!!! They eat the bugs, which gives you back a huge amount of time!

I haven't finished the episode, but if you befriend the birds, I think they'll eat the bugs near your plants so you don't have to spray for bugs all the time! So could be useful to do soon.

Just as a thought for Archers story. He grew up in the palace, having been too young to really remember the coup that ended the old regime. History had been changed by the evil King and he believed that their family was a long line legitimate until he stumbled upon the vaults under the palace where the remnants of Lavender's family legacy remained, including a portrait of the toddler Lavender. He leaves the palace in a rage. Claiming a vacation to get some air when he meets the lost princess. This fueled an unfortunate outburst from him... but now he aims to recover and learn more about her.

I know the chat portion doesn't usually make it to the youtube uploads of these streams, but I appreciate the small bit where you talked about your adhd since I have it as well! it might not have been a very fun part of the convo since the people (or at least one person) in chat were being kinda aggressive with how you worded your experience, but hopefully it didn't bring your mood down too much 🥺 I also just wanted to leave a tini bit of info about it since you said adhd isn't your area of expertise and you weren't sure what the difference between add & adhd is: adhd is now classified into three categories of adhd-pi (primarily inattentive; this is usually what add would be referred to as now since there's more mental hyperactivity than physical. add is an outdated term but many people are not aware of that and still use it since that's what they were diagnosed as, which is totally fine), adhd-ph (primarily hyperactive, more physical symptoms than mental), and adhd-c (combo of the two, which is what I have!) you never asked for the info, but I thought a small clarification might be useful just so you're aware for yourself :) can't wait to see more of lavender & archer's dates in upcoming streams!

I love your streams so much!! If you let your oversize crops keep growing rather than using your harvest all option and harvesting early, they will change overtime from being 4 plants (small) to 2 plants (medium) to 1 plant (over size)

I've been watching James Turners rags to riches let's play and I think Kelsey should watch it too just to maybe get an idea of how things work on the farm.. but the sprinklers do take up a lot of water so ur utility bills might rise so put 4 of ur garden patches together and have the sprinkler in the middle of them so it would water all of them at once and u can sell the extra and get ur money back

You could get Sprinkle-O-Matic 2001 now to help with the gardening now that you are on the grid :) Also grafting plants together would take less space and time for the same amount of crops! (I had a plant sim, I did a lot of gardening o.o) This series has been fun :D I relax and watch new episodes in the evenings with some nice snacks with my cats ^^ EDIT: Ooh, you got the sprinklers! btw, you should really cut down on the size of the garden. it's just too big. I think if you get Lavender into a routine, you'll see improvements in how much time you have for plot. and paying attention to her needs once they hit yellow instead of red will give you more time, too. farming and gardening are really involved ways of playing the game, especially when you're also doing rags to riches, so managing resources (time, lavenders needs, etc) is more important than when you play the game in other ways

so what if Archer’s family (i guess mostly his dad) found out he was spending time with Lavender and kicks him out of the royal family thinking he’s conspiring against them. Then he comes to Lavender for help and moves in with her!! begrudgingly at first but then it turns into love!!

Oh yes by the way my apologies please do not start a garden club because just found out they will take your crops to you don't want that I still like what you're doing but I know you're overwhelmed by the big garden I have a off-gridland and we're just starting to get into a little garden here and there

someone in another comment mentioned that, to solve the garden club issue, just make sure to harvest your crops before you have a gathering so people will weed and water and stuff but can't take your stuff!

Love Rags to Riches! Patchy does NOT help you with your garden. He might give you seeds or possibly help plants evolve but that’s it. No garden tending

I love The Sims, but I swore a while back that I wasn't going to spend anymore money on it (I think we all know it's the biggest cash grab in gaming). I would rather spend $40 on a brand new game. HOWEVER the Cottage Living pack looks so awesome. Watching LPs and streams like Kelsey's is making me want to buy it! Looks awesome! Might wait until it goes on sale, though tbh. 😂😂

in the animals' defense, they're only getting cleaned and fed once a day or every other day, and sometimes they have to live in dirty homes. it's not their fault for being unhappy when they're dirty and hungry. yeah, it's a lot of work to take care of chickens, a llama, and a cow, but them having needs isn't them making drama! [steps off of soap box] I know Kelsey is kidding btw. I'm just saying that the responsibility for caring for other living creatures involves attending to their needs, including their hunger and hygiene 🤷‍♂️ it's like when people complain about their kids being needy. like.... yeah. they're living creatures. they have needs, and they're too little to care for themselves. how is this a surprise lol

* you should be able to ask on a date on loveday becouse one of the things to do in the loveday panel is go on a date * maybe there were like invisible lama & lama wool entries lol * I used Patchy in 3 stories and i went through entire interactions menus with him before he decided to jump off his pole and help; * you cannot set the w...h... skill to 10, is one of the few skills that only has 5 levels
