Gold does look pretty good on that bike. Mine has the XX1 chain. I also put in a Renthal FatBar lite (gold). Changed the brakes to XT, with XT rotors, got the 108 teeth hub upgrade, and changed the saddle to a wtb volt with cromo rails. Try out the mino link in the low setting, really changes the way the bike handles

Gold chain is so smart. I immediately regretted the Shimano chain when building. The bike would have been so much nicer with gold. You sir made a good choice!

@@Jamesthebikeguy The SRAM XX1 chain is also almost indestructible and the coating makes it very easy to clean and maintain. I was checking out the Shimano components, but I'm happy with my NX.

You should get the xt shifter, you can do multiplr clicks down the casette

if youre replacing a rear shift cable with a frayed end, can you remove it and just keep all the internal housing the same, and just shove a new cable in like you did at about the 14:19 mark?

You can't really add rear travel but you can lengthen the fork if you wanted to I guess
