All elves evolved _from_ Night Elves and Night Elves evolved _from_ Trolls. Night Elves specifically come from a small tribe of "Dark Trolls" who were an *offshoot* tribe of Trolls who came from the Zandalari, just like the Amani and Drakkari are also offshoot tribes who also came from the Zandalari. One could say that Trolls are Proto (unevolved) Elves in the way that Vrykul are Proto (unevolved) Humans: one could also say that all Elves are Evolved Trolls in the way one could say that Human are Evolved Vrykul.

Vulture V Stormwind wasn’t the capital city of the Alliance. Just the Kingdom of Azeroth-Stormwind. There was no Alliance at this time, so Lordaeron, Gilneas, Kultiras, Alterac and Stromgarde were in much better position, the Humans that got beat up where the ones from SW and no other kingdom

I've been a troll main for over 13 years, going from Male Hunter to Male DK to Female Warrior. I had the time of my life when Vol'Jin was the warchief, and to this day I only run around with the "Spear of Vol'Jin" title. A lot of the other races just didn't do it for me, also because I found the major characters associated with them to be somewhat unlikeable. Trolls are relateable underdogs, if that makes sense. While I'm on my Vol'Jin fanboy train, I do recommend reading the book by Michael A. Stackpole about him, its not bad.

As most of the Mogu were afflicted by the curse of flesh, the Lich King could just raise them and create even more powerful undead, like he did with the Vrykul and Drakkari. It's not really fair to pit the Scourge against any army on Azeroth.

@@jarofpickles4057 Really, the only reason why we even beat the Scourge was because of a singular weapon: The Asbringer. Without the Ashbringer the only two armies who could beat the Scourge in a war would be the Legion and the Black Empire.

@@theazureknight9399 If we're being honest, the only reason we beat the Scourge was because the plot demanded it. Regardless, the Ashbringer was definitely important. On another note, I wonder if the Black Empire could beat a Scourge that's had its forces bolstered by consuming the entirety of Azeroth. The undead are naturally resistant to the whispers and under an empowered Arthas, one who would have devoured countless souls with Frostmourne by that point, I'm not so sure the Black Empire would win. Now obviously we don't know the full extent of the Black Empire. The version we saw in 8.3 was very clearly nerfed into the ground to fit a single patch. However, as we don't know what it would look like, not much point in speculating.

@Brian I agree 8.3 was a joke but I genuinely like a lot of the lore since Cata. As a whole it's not the best, especially how the lore transfers into the game(that's awful honestly), but the story as told through books and certain quests has been really good imo. I know Asmon and a lot of people meme on MoP but I genuinely love a lot of the lore there. WoD had a lot of potential and still does with the Mag'har clans it introduced, but the story of WoD was pretty contrived and was mostly wasted potential(especially how they killed Archimonde, that will never not piss me off). Legion was significantly better than BFA in almost every way, including the story, but with all the stuff BFA set up, I see Shadowlands having a lot of potential. Blizzard just needs to cash in on it before people inevitably stop caring.

Because there are players who want their characters to be representations of themselves in a fictional universe. And it's easier for them to identify as a Human, I see nothing wrong with that. At the same time, if you enjoy a Tauren or a Draenei better, that's fine, more power to you. Everyone can play the game in his own way. What I find to be very weird, however, is when people go out of their way to criticize others for picking Humans in fantasy games, and they end up playing Elves. And Elves are just slim, pretty Humans with big ears. I mean, it takes a special kind of hypocrite to behave in that manner. Have a great day, everyone!
