So the worm in the beginning might be a tent caterpillar. They are actually parasitic to trees and stunt a tree’s growth if too many of them are on a tree. I don’t know if it is the tent caterpillar, but it looks very similar to it. I hope this information helps.

Definitely not a tent caterpillar. They have more slender bodies, more markings, less fuzz, and tend to be found in large groups.

Axolotls actually can always grow past the larval stage under certain conditions, when waters begin to dry up and food becomes scarce they are no longer able to survive as axolotls and it triggers their transition into salamanders which are their adult forms, but if it isn't necessary they won't change
