At the time, probably the best match I was ever at. I still believe if we had beaten Kilkenny, we would've went on and won it outright in 2014. Team went backwards after that for 2 years before John Kiely came along in 2017. As regards the match, basically hit by two sucker punches. Recovered from the first one, actually were leading in the second half, until the second one done the damage. Conditions were atrocious with rain falling in "biblical" proportions. Tanking it down. KK score their goals at critical junctures of games on a consistent basis, even when they lose games. Eg 2018 QF v Limerick, scored with 5 or 6 mins left plus added time, nailed on to win but Limerick pulled them back to win by 2 points.
