A scam, three guitars and a raffle - Winning a handmade acoustic guitar

Charity raffle announcement for three guitars. The Paypal donation link for those who would like to participate will follow in an update of the build process when I'm close to finishing the guitars. I shall be finished by the end of January, if everything goes as planned.
There will be a demo video and photos on Instagram, but not full build video. I will make a little complication of the builds, though.

It's hard not to let being scammed get to you. I had someone do the reverse version of what was done to you. I sold an item and used the "business" option instead of friends & family, and the person refunded it claiming I didn't show up to the meeting spot even though he was at my house. You and I were lucky that we only lost $100-$200. Be careful folks. I look forward to supporting this drawing when the time comes.

Gabriele, I totally understand how you feel. It seems more and more common to see people taking advantage of others to benefit themselves and I feel the same way as you do. When something like that happens to you, it takes away your trust in people, which is a very nasty feeling. That feeling is actually worse than the actual loss you suffer from the situation. Hope your raffle goes well and you can help your colleague. Once the link for the tickets is up I will definitely contribute. Good luck on the build, can't wait to see the results.

Scammers fill up my e-mail box daily and hit my cell phone daily too. These people are like politicians and have never worked an honest day in their life. PayPal has been refunding me for some of these online scams but it's usually a long process before I see any refund.

It's increasingly common. I got scammed out of £450 recently, by a guitarist in a known band, paid him for an amp he was selling, by Paypal F&F... he never sent it, just a long shaggy dog story of excuses. Not looking for sympathy, I know where to find him so I can send in the bailiffs or the police - but sadly this type of behaviour is becoming increasingly common. Morals, ethics, decency seem to be diminishing in society, leading to a general erosion of trust, very sad.

Thank you for realizing the real and longer term damage that these narcissistic people do with their scams. I empathize with your colleague as i had to stop working due to disability myself and had to survive a long period of time without income or assistance. So I am not wealthy by any means, but I will at least get three tickets. My only problem is what body shape do I want lol! My cousin has a satin walnut back and sides on his j45, very warm and mellow tone. I have two martin dreads and I hope I win your ggbo om guitar so maybe a jumbo. Any one of your wonderful guitars would add so much tone and splendor to any of our musical palettes. Also I like a good cause, and there is not a better cause than helping people! Love your guitars, love your music, and even more love the spirit you bring into your art! Please do not let bad people discourage you from seeing the good in the rest of us!

On the whole I feel people are generally decent and good, and this is the conclusion I’ve come to after many years in aid and development. What happened to you is terrible, and something similar has happened to me, but I refuse to let that change my overall opinion of humanity. I volunteer for an annual international peace festival called the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in North Wales, UK, and being with so many people from all over the world for that one week helps keep me in touch with how I would like the world to be. Hi, there Shawn. Ah, I see the point now. Well, the class I offered was for my students at school as an extracurricular activity and this class is still running. Most students are close to finishing, and some already have finished. A "class" you are suggesting could actually work with someone who would be able to travel here, and it would have to be when I'm on holiday because in my job you can't just take some days off. I could even provide free lodging and food, so the person would only have to come up for travelling here. I wonder, though, how many people might be interested in that?
