Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I attended my AE class "A" school in 1991 at NATTC Millington, TN. Scored a 91.9% (3rd of 18). Chose my next duty station HSL-33 NAS North Island. Too close to home. BCD.........ugh

it depends on how long your A school is! if it's more than a few months SOME commands let you, it's different at all school houses. so it's possible in A school, but not 100%.

a long damn time lol. one girl that i knew was air crew AE. she got there in may 2012 and she graduated december 2012. it all depends on flow, waiting to class up, etc. but that's a good estimate of time

Just wanted to first, Thank you for your service. It takes great character to volunteer and then to remain positive to your Service! Your parents raised a fine young lady and should be proud! Second. I'm 55 yrs old and retired. I stumbled across your videos and really enjoy them. Years ago, I was DEP Navy but received a college scholarship and went college instead...big mistake on my part, should have gone Navy! Anyway, thanks for your vids you do a great job.

Im a CT and got classed up for ATT in the first week i was here. But after i graduate ATT they are moving us to Corry and doing our A school there. I hear at Corry the liberty only maxes out at Phase 2, but Ill confirm that when i get there.

the actual instructions state that if the "A" school is less than six months or 180 days. then you may move your spouse upon the commands discretion.

Great videos btw. Now I gotta ask: What was the rate you wanted before you took your ASVAB? After you were offered jobs, what did you want? Did you get that rate? Why did you choose the rate you're currently in? Do you like your current rating? If yes, why? If no, what would you like to change it too? and finally, what's your current NEC for your duty station, and do you like your command (if you're already there)?

I never found out the numbers for mine. The only things I found out about my scores were that I got a 97 and that I line score qualified for Nuke, but no specific number on this. Do a Google search for asvab line scores and there's an about.com link describing them.

i didn't even research rates. i had no idea. i didn't care if i shoveled shit behind a horse, i wanted in the navy, no question. so i wasn't picky! i chose it bc i'm familiar with electricity as my dad is a lineman. i'm an AT. i haven't got to do much of my rate because you go in TAD when you get to the fleet and you do other things before your actual job. bitch work. i'm at that stage right now lol i like my command

I was told it's not protocol anymore for them to give me a print-out of my scores and that they can't access them on their computers. So it is probably legit. I was wondering the same thing when I asked for my line scores... It may or may not be true, just know you're not the only one who got that reply from your recruiter when you asked for your line scores.

Ok I have watched a few vids on what bootcamp is like. My girlfriend is on week 6 and she already got to choose where she would desire to be stationed.(technically the navy puts you where they need you) anyway she got to choose already and didnt have to wait until reaching A-school. Her A-schoop is in Pensacola. My question is how long are orders usually. Lets say hypothetically she got California. Would that be the rest of her enlistment. Also, is its overseas how long? I was in the Marines but the Navy does a lot of stuff very different.

killacam cam orders can be 2-4 years. (two is typically shore duty) but i'm late and she's probably out by now lol

Chazie Revet no problem. you might have to walk to work every day but you can usually find people in your command to give you a ride. there are certain limitations to the types of SE you can operate and being a duty driver at your command… your watch standing might be diff. but it's no big deal. people are in the military without a license. you will be ok!
