@@gmjsimmons : The DNA double helix was only discovered when I was a child. Some have been working on nuclear fusion reactors that long. To say that because scientists haven't discovered the trigger for abiogenesis by no means suggests a great deal hasn't been learned. There are many different approaches. If they are doomed to failure, as you hope, it should be of no concern to you or Tour... and yet it is. Also: If "A" is not true does not mean "B" is true. You still have to prove "B" and in your case, there is no evidence that there is a "B". And I only said science makes creationists nervous that it may prove a creator is unnecessary. I make no claims. I just follow the evidence.

My grandfather was saved at the age of 76 yrs old. My father got saved and he watched my father because he was an alcoholic so Jesus took the desire of alcohol from dad and how he acted an treated my mom and others!! Dad felt like his time with his father was limited so God laid it on his heart to testify to his father. So he went to him and talk to him about Jesus and how great it was to be a Christian and having the love of Jesus. So papaw agreed to go to church wirh us. During the preacher preaching you could see papa's head was bowed and tears was dropping to the floor so dad put his arm around him and ask him to go to the altar and pray. He did and received Jesus as his saviour and got daved!!! He lived about 3 yrs before he died. Dad gave him a Bible to read everyday and he did so when he died he made it to heaven!!! Grandma was always a believer. Teach your children in the way they should go and they will never depart from it!!! Thank God!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

A little off-topic but I want to share encouragement for believers in these end times: *JESUS is COMING SOON!* Around 2 years ago I was out riding my bike along a spot that I'm not too familiar with; I was intently focused on the sidewalk to avoid the pieces of glass, so as to not ride over them. Out of nowhere, I felt that "not home" feeling and didn't like it; as if I am alien to this place. So I started to tell myself *"Well, Jesus is..."* (with me wherever I go) but before I could finish that sentence aloud, my head involuntarily turned to the right and saw a big sign in the grass: "COMING SOON!", thus completing my sentence aloud: "Well, Jesus is *COMING SOON!"* Quickly I burst into laughter at the timing of this. It was *seamless.* So I went home and called my mother on the phone and told her about it. She quickly said to me: *"That's confirmation!"* - As *soon as she said that,* the memory was brought to my conscious mind that I prayed, *just two days before,* asking the Lord if He really told my mother: *"Soon, child, soon."* bass / baritone range, and cannot scream even close to that pitch in the dream. I learned later in the day that, just 2 days before my dream, *NY* lit up the *One World Trade* center building *PINK,* _IN CELEBRATION OF_ being able to kill babies in the womb at 9+ months! I was shocked (and disgusted) at how this was the confirmation to my dream. Will we be here to see this? I assumed so, or else I see no other reason why the Lord would show me this dream. With La Palma erupting now, and many have said for decades that if it falls into the ocean, it could cause a tsunami to hit the east coast of the U.S., this might be the tsunami that was shown to me in my dream. Only time will tell, but the timing is amazing. Only a couple of years later this is happening! I believe the tsunami has a connection to the timing of Jesus coming to rapture us out. It could be the sign! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've been born again since 1996 (at age 17) and my mother has been born again since the early-mid 1970s (her early-mid 20s). We've both had multiple experiences and words from the Lord over the years (about current situations at those times) but *never about anything concerning end times.* Only in the last couple of years did He wake us up to this. So let's keep watch. :)

Amen! James amazing encounter resonates with me. I was just 17 when I was pushed under the strong waters of a stream. I was being tossed up and down and all around until I ran out of breath. I was about to inhale, when right at that second a bright light hit my right arm, and all of a sudden it seemed as if time stood still, seems like I stopped spinning for a bit, and a voice in my head called my name twice, and said "......, hold on, calm waters are ahead, you will get up and walk out of here." I remember thinking to myself, calm waters are coming up? I remeber having this strange sensation leaving me as I walked out of the water....but as every sinful human, I walked up towars my family and friend and began to act proud of myself saying that if it was all thanks to them, I would have been dead by now since no one came to my rescue even though they were not too far from the water. Seems like due to my sinful nature and not yet been Born Again, I totally forgot for 7 years about what happened that day. Miraculously after I was Born Again, sometime later the memory of that day came back so fresh in my mind!!!!! It was amazing, and at that realization, I cried my eyes out in praise and thanksgiving to Him. Today, Jesus is my all in all, and I can't get enough of praising Him and sharing to others about Him!!!! I am so thankful that James feels the same gratitude towards Jesus Christ our awsome Lord!!!! In God’s world, there’s consequences to what we do, and if we were not held accountable for our crime, then He would NOT be a just judge. Also, we would not know LOVE, if it weren’t for evil. God did not choose to make us fleshly robots, He gave us the gift of conscience, which means “with knowledge”. Instead of crying about the things we can not change, how about you’re thankful for the fact that Jesus made it possible for our “sorry arses” to be Save. Take a look at the book of Job, he was upset and angry too at one point, and was demanding God to answer him. Perhaps you might be enlighten by it. You believe that we’re deserving of a pain free, hassle free, suffer free life….but truth be told…we’re not deserving or entitled to anything really. Once you get a grip of that, you will humble yourself before your Creator, who loves you, and wishes that you won’t perish in your sin…the sin we chose and continue to choose daily. We love darkness rather then light. God provided you a free gift of Salvation…I would take it. Trust me my friend, we think we know, but we got no idea. Repent and place your trust in Christ, and Lord willing, you should born again. (Ref. Her father , my brother was a brilliant man of intellect but I'm not sure he knew the Lord before he passed in 09'. Does anyone out there know her heart better than God? Does anyone out there Love her more than God does? Is there a book that will touch her faster or better than God can? You have the answer, trust Him to do it. His time, His way. You pray until you get in His Presence, till you literally feel Him there, till you're in tears and your heart is breaking, THEN you ask. You don't even have to have the right words, God can interpret your tears. HE knows your heart. Who do you think put that desire to pray for her in your heart? It isn't the power of prayer. OK you must have a grrr going on about that. I suggest to you that you speak your thoughts AND feelings out loud to God, ask Him what's going on with this, ask Him to let you know He's real in a way that you will understand 100%. Sincerity in prayer is the key, He knows your heart and whether you are sincere or not so if you are angry then tell Him u r angry and why and if u r hurt, same deal. I have never seen Jesus however I experience Him every single day. There are so many ways He uses to contact us...we just have to be open and earnestly look for Him, His Truth, His Light, His Love. :) I truly hope this helps. It doesn't bother me at all that I haven't seen Him, it gives me something to look forward to. :)

As a young man, I did the whole, "Lord, come into my life, if you're out there, show me, in a way I can understand, that you are real, let the Holy Spirit into my life, I want to do your will, I want to live the life you you have chosen for me, blah blah blah..." Sincere, desperate to make contact with my Creator, tears running down my cheeks. Nothing. Not a peep from the Father, the Son or the Holy ghost. Not even midde-management, like Mary, or one of the angels, to let me know that God appreciates my call and will get back to me. Because there's no-one out there. I'm not angry with God: he doesn't exist. So when I hear stories of communion with Jesus, or direct, unambiguous communication with God, I can only, with the best of will, assume them to be either delusions or lies.

Whenever I have communication, it is not by my choice of way or manner and initially there was nada for me too. It wasn't until I truly decided within myself that I was going to believe in Jesus Christ that my life changed. I stared at the sky and told my heavenly Father whom I also believe in that I was going to believe in Jesus too despite the fact that Father would ALWAYS be first with me. You know what happened at that moment? A big fat nothing and no problemo because I wasn't expecting anything however not long after, my life took on a supernatural tone that was mind blowing. You gotta stand out on a limb buddy if you want to be noticed by the one true living mighty God. The Christian drill that you mention is something I went thru as well. I was born and raised Roman Catholic and went to the schools. It wasn't until my 50's that I truly decided to believe in Jesus as I always had some doubts. I get where u r coming from, u tried the Church way, I did too, now try it another way, whatever works for you. I know from experience that the more we blindly believe, the more our faith is rewarded however know this, He likes to reward in ways not of this world. :) Don't give up Gareth, get angry if you have to, do whatever it takes, He is sooooooo worth it. Dr. Tour, it would be good if Richard Dawkins could realize the appearance of design in nature really is evidence of design with a divine designer. He has read the bible and surely came across Romans 1:20 which points to the designer, God. Yet he admits he is ignorant of the origin of life, but in his opinion water and chemicals, a primeval soup did the trick even though the law of entropy is the barrier. He should read the Scholium of Newton's Principia to see how a truly great natural philosopher figured it out through the laws of nature. Kepler and Boyle were believers in a designer, so why are modern scientists so smart that they slavishly follow the folly of Darwin.

You have no idea what "evidence and rigor" are. It's called modal logic, propositional logic. That's like saying "there's no evidence for an equation". There's no physical observable evidence, whatsoever, for an Oort Cloud, by almost all scientists believe in it (rightfully so), based on Deductive Inference. This is called epistemology. Why not learn at least a little bit about the subject (which 99.9% of all atheists literally have no idea what they are saying.), and then get on youtube to try sounding smart?

I have no idea what "there's no evidence for an equation" means. 2+2=4 is evidence of an equation. Some are right and some are wrong. Some, like Newton's laws, are correct but incomplete. The only reason the Oort cloud has been hypothesized at all is because of the physical evidence of certain comets. No one claims to know more about it than they do. Like dark matter, there is physical evidence of a real physical phenomena that needs further explanation. Descriptions of a supernatural creator are just lists of desired requirements rather than evidence of any actual phenomena. It's made-up premises intended to rationalize a pre-determined conclusion.

I had a “hallucination” once, except they were demons. I was sure I was going crazy, because that’s the only reasonable explanation for seeing something like that. But the morning after seeing those creatures, my sister came to me and told me about the terrible nightmare she just had. And she perfectly described the demons I had seen at the foot of my bed. She knew their skin color, body shape, hair color, height, eye shape/color, how many there were, what they were dressed in, etc. There are many other things that happened to me during that time that are unexplainable (by science).

We must agree with God that we are sinners in need of salvation, and we must trust in Jesus alone to save. When we do this, God promises to save us and give us the Holy Spirit, who will make us new creations. That is in Gods timing alone not in James Tours, what he just said is unbiblical. “I want to see at least 1 conversion a week” Find me that in scripture? “If you reach out to me and I met with you I guarantee you will get saved in a hour, you will be in the kingdom of God” Find me that in scripture?? Bloke must think he’s The trinity eh ? “It’s a rare event when someone doesn’t get saved after reaching out to me” What’s he doing working as a chemist ???
