I cannot believe they got all that done in such a short time. And manually!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your lives with us. We’re finally getting a break today from over 90* + temps, going to be in the high 70’s. It’s just awful the heat and extreme weather everywhere. And we got a bit of rain. Which is great for all our new landscaping. Rain is so much better for plants than watering. Have a great week. (All your lunches and food shares just make me hungry ,. And we have so few good restaurant choices in our area, ). 😋

hola sandi! i am sitting here on the terraza with hudson listening to the guys pouring the cement for the pool...what the heck? they were working in the rain...they are such hard workers! i think there are six guys here now...they have a cement mixer...then they put the cement in a wheel barrow...and then they pour it into the hole (pool)..all. by hand...yep..they are amazing!!!

Congrats on your “golden anniversary” - 21 years on the 21st! You’re so right - the “little things” are the loveliest and most enduring parts of of a nurturing relationship! We are on year #34 this year! We often talk about how many things have remained constant and how many things have changed! We are grateful every day, as I know you two are! The rain and thunder sound wonderful! We are still enjoying cool temps most of the days with sweet, warm afternoon sunshine too! Perfect hammock weather. Our irises are blooming and find their way into bouquets on our windowsills. I so enjoy them as forest living doesn’t provide as many flowers as would be ideal. So I enjoy each lovely stem and blossom! Love Rob’s “Frog and Toad” shirt! This retired children’s librarian heartedly approves! ❤ I have 2 little old Frog and Toad cloth figures in my studio. Yay, take two with the videos. They were good videos too. That hose hanger is pretty cool. I know it's a simple thing, but it does serve two purposes and it's nice to get the hose up off the ground so you don't have a full of bugs or other critters that might take refuge in there.

oh my goodness laura...it has been raining on and off all morning...and you know what? they guys have not stopped working...they are incredible! they have a large plastic tarp protecting the pool and they are filling in the bottom of the pool with concrete...moved by hand of course...amazing...

Happy Anniversary to you both! It's always the little things that do make (or break) us. This year was a tough one for me. My anniversary would have been #57 on the 16th which was Father's Day. It was rough for my children as well. They dug the pool in the rain? So they didn't have to haul the dirt back up and out. That must have saved a lot of time and backaches. The men are amazing digging the pool, hard workers indeed. I was tired just watching them. 🙂 Oh my the food looked amazing. Kind of you to share your mangos with the monkeys...like you would have a say. They are fascinating. The store looks like so much fun to go through and I hope you well, lots and lots of baskets. Happy Anniversary❤🎉❤ Love is a wonderful thing. Next year is 50 for us! My wish is that Steve will be 100% himself by then. Still in hospital…rehab. The doctors missed a massive blood clot in his pelvis that broke apart and went to his lungs 2 Fridays ago. He was minutes from death and they had to do an emergency thrombectomy to remove all of the pieces. This is the worst experience ever! Positive vibes appreciated ❤

Hi guys...I am definitely late. I am trying to catch up on so many things. I want to wish you a late Happy Anniversary!!!!!! Ours was today. It would have been 51 years. The pool is so exciting!
