Situated off the west coast of Sicily, Levanzo is a secluded island paradise with just a few hundred inhabitants. The island's landscape is characterised by rocky formations, lush vegetation and caves.
While Levanzo is relatively secluded, it is accessible by ferry from Trapani, making it a convenient day trip or a tranquil destination for a longer stay.
Levanzo still remains an island paradise. There is no mass international tourism here! The vast majority of visitors are Italian. In fact, I didn't come across another foreigner on my day trip. There are just a handful of restaurants in the village and a shop. There aren't many facilities but that is a trade-off for the fact you will get to explore a true island paradise without mass tourism.
